No response needed on original questions. I did many FAQ edits with consideration to TomG's suggestion I and others agreed with. Going to use this thread to cover some SBR rulings though as I come across them to keep the discussion going.

One going on now.

Tremp starts a thread and asks if player deposits $100 and gets a $100 free play with 12 times rollover. loses the free play, but increases balance to $2200 and then has his limits cut to $5 before and $15 on game day if this is reasonable.

Justin responds that he would call a major foul if player couldn't complete rollover in 50 bets and asks the books name.

Tremp responds it's a pending complaint that Lou is handling so won't discuss books name just yet.

Lou rules in favor of the book. Turns out Tremp had $48,000 in rollover with $18K left, and is limited to $50 before game day and $250 on. but also isn't true exactly he has other bets like NBA first half he is limited to $100 on game day.

I disagree with Lou's ruling, suspect Justin if handled the complaint probably would of too. The book here though is Bet Horizon. I'm not sure the exact current deal but they and Heritage go way back, and now Heritage powers that book.

Heritage gets most of their players from SBR.

I disagreed with the handling of another Heritage issue recently and was put on post moderation by SBR and infracted over it - odd that I have probably 30,000 posts across every betting forum and like probably 4% of them are at SBR and only forum I've ever got infractions, banned and post review is SBR.

Anyway, separate from this (wasn't involved in this one) SBR has deleted two Heritage threads. One regarding odds manipulation with live feeds (son owns the odds company) and one over their payment to a player getting seized by authorities before he had any chance to receive it and initially to some it appeared Heritage was suggesting too bad it is on you. Of course they didn't say that direct and thread is deleted now so can't see it and decide intent for yourself.

Disclaimer: Heritage is probably not a bad book. I dislike highly their handling of a dispute is only personal issue with them. My thoughts are this however, the rare complaints that come up if it is an SBR sponsor book there is no guarantee SBR is going to rule fair. So if you go up against any site they are heavily marketing then you might potentially be at a disadvantage when rare disputes come up. Meanwhile, the books they pick on who actually do respond to SBR, that also do pay, you can use SBR as leverage. See it all has value but it takes strategy to work it optimally.

Being one of those sports betting novices / noobs, I'm happy to agree here.

I spent a lot of time at the SBR site the past few days getting info, and this thread has given me a great education and a lot to consider.

I don't know who you are, Propplayer, or what your motivations are, but you've been a tremendous help both here and through answering my PM's. I'm under the impression that you have the trust of a large contingent of 2+2'ers. I look forward to the updated FAQ.

lol when I read kdog's post I thought: forum wars? It seems more like wars of Raiders vs. X., of course X = just about any poster of moderate intelligence.

raiders likes to argue. Enough that sometimes he will take the idiot side of an issue just to do so. Of course all the other times he IS the idiot.

In all honesty though when he sticks to actual sports handicapping and analysis he's one of the better posters around. He has good insight and better than average knowledge.

Update on post #28

Original Poster wasn't even close to out of line in that dispute until a couple sentences today, but was well beyond the point anyone was going to help him. Multiple comments from Justin7 back up that he was wronged. Different poster, same ending. Sheri steps in makes comments that have no relevance to the dispute, in this case bringing up the posters anti-SBR comments, personal stuff that has no relevance to dispute too.. At this point poster finally makes out of line comments, and unfortunately that is probably the end.

Someone's past history on a forum doesn't change if a sportsbook is treating him fair or not. It will be dismissed because of that, and it's an easy out for SBR to do so. Chances are slim this gets reported on their news wire page. Chances also slim the book gets downgraded.

So it's the: we're this honest sportsbook guide trust us, but this one here is okay because the poster is Tremp. IMO, fine ban him again from posting, it doesn't change the issue with the book, or the major conflict of interest in the way they market themselves. If the book was 1VICE I strongly suspect we'd of gotten a decent sized report. Because of association to Heritage it is unlikely visiting the books news page in the future that you'll discover such a situation ever occurred imo - wait and see I guess.

One of many examples here of why not to trust their newswires or ratings. Some books get all their issues reported, and not always with the full story, why others get a complete pass. Again the reason for keeping this updated is only because the image they have in industry and that many buy into their sell. There are no doubt many portals guilty of the same, but they don't have the masses drooling on them the same way this site does.

I am slightly confused, is Heritage the book in question?

The book is horizonsports.es. The owner of Heritage and founder of Horizon go way back. Recently Heritage began powering Horizon.

I agree, though in a real life situation while I wouldn't have used the same words or brought her being a woman into it, I wouldn't have responded much nicer either.

She repeatedly attempts to be clean up person in disputes when SBR is taking the PR hit over protecting sponsors and her comments don't help. None of her post there had any relevancy to the thread and he wasn't anywhere near out of line on their forum during the most recent period he's been allowed back nor was he in that thread until she showed up.

Her post implies he should be thankful for Lou sticking it to him. Oddly though he wasn't even negative at all in that thread he stated his point well and played it completely fine. She just stepped in to stroke Lou and Justin, dis him and stir stuff up. His response is certainly out of line though even given the facts. But how SBR will use it is their new tool. I can't recall ever reading if you don't like it go to another forum for help until recently.

Suddenly they are just one of many services for players to turn. In years past they warned about all those other sites, and John would argue with them at OGD over their practices. Huge change, now as they are just one of many sites and so nice to be helping everyone out. They're getting very good at using spin and having mods troll threads imo.

LOL , I never even knew shari was a woman, I always thought it was a pakistani or indian guy or something.
that comment was pure gold by thremp

Also , why is Thremp banned every time he makes a new name?
Laverty was banned before and is back without a problem , shouldnt Thremp be allowed back as well?

I understand that has some comedic value but is that what you would say when trying to resolve a dispute with a book through an affiliate forum? You gotta pick your spots and this gives the corrupt ****s at sbr the (unreasonable) excuse to not communicate with him. Not smart imo even tho his original claim has validity.
