Pinny just disabled API access on my account, and CS came back with this:

Dear Client,

Please take note that we aren’t offering our API to the general public for the foreseeable future.

Please understand that this is a move for Pinnacle as a business, as we look to venture into offering our API system now known as Pinnacle Solutions.

Should you be interested in gaining access to our API for commercial purposes, please contact b2b@pinnaclesolution.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we thank you for being a customer here at Pinnacle.
Anyone else have this happen? Any workaround?

Pinny are going ******ed maybe.

This is what I got and totally conflicting especially since they even have articles on their pinnacle betting resources tab, where they explain how their API can help you betting etc.

Quote:
Dear Client,

Your API access was blocked due the frequency of calls/bandwidth usage and lack of wagering activity. The API is meant as a service for wagering and not data gathering.

If you substantially increase your wagering activity over the next 3 months you may contact us at the end of that period to request to have your access enabled. Whether the wagering activity over that period is sufficient will be decided by us at that time.

If you wish to apply for access to our Commercial API please visit the API section on our site.

MY RESPONSE
Quote:
Hello,

I have to respectfully to disagree in your statement in regard to me using the API for data gathering, I am only using it to place bets.

In May I have placed 689 bets with the API
In June I have placed 894 bets with the API
In July I have placed 1075 bets with the API

Many people don't even place this many bets over a whole year
And then pinny again

I'm really concerned they will never allow the api again peacefully for personal usage..

Hello,

I am receiving {"code":"NO_API_ACCESS","message":"Account not permitted to access the API”} on the api access.

I am respecting the fair use policy and bet 60+€ (4x by deposit of 20€)

Can you please help me know what leaded to the lock so I can avoid similar locks in future, and also unlocking the access asap?

Best regards

I'm based in the US and sadly can't bet at pinnicale but I do collect information from them because they are probably the sharpest book and serve as a great baseline for determining value(or lack thereof) in smaller book's lines. I've built a python based crawler that pulls odds on a fairly regular basis from them, betonline, 5dimes, bovada and vegasinsider(for my local books) without needing access to an api. Another great source for information is sportsbookreview.com. It collects odds from most major online books including pinnacle. Some of these may or may not allow bot betting and may or may not have an api. In general if you are a developer an easy solution would be to write a custom browser extension and use something like selenium to run that extension. This should fly under the radar at most books and as long as it isn't going crazy should be fairly indistinguishable from normal traffic.

Seems great!

Can you please let us know more about this software?

Has anyone luck getting the API access turned back on? I'm not sure what triggered my account being blocked...
