Despite the fact that they will slow pay at times, they are A+ for other reasons. I would not give up on them. Sometimes their prices are the nuts and I had a lot of payouts from them that came very quickly, albeit that was last year.

Yes, though is not as simple as just having a bank account somewhere else. For some sites will need a local ID, and others proof of residency (Utility bill though sometimes letter from bank works). For e-wallets: Skill I think can use US passport + proof of residency - but for others (ex: NETELLER) will need non-US ID.

IMO if feasible taking a month-ish long holiday and leaving with a drivers license, a few bank accounts (opened early) and letters stating you have an account registered to address XYZ (gotten before leave) is the best idea. This can be done in Mexico (a little more work) or easy in several S.E. Asia countries and others in South America. I've heard Africa too but no experience with that.

Not sure if this is the right thread or not, and sorry if it isn't, but I just had a couple questions and would greatly appreciate it if someone was able to answer them for me.

I just opened up a 5dimes account, and wanted to trade lock poker funds for 5dimes, and was wondering what the going rate is roughly. Also, is there anyone interested in my lock for your 5dimes? Thanks.

Been reading your FAQ. Very well set out and imformative well done on that.I thought it would be alot of betting on opposite teams for the win getting favorable odds. But suppose them bets be hard to find.

Think i'll give it a go casually.Just minimum betting units.Abit of trial and error. And when i fail miserably i'll look into it more deeply.I never looked closely at odds before but i seen some that are very off before. In snooker and tennis. One was very good player who is 50% to win against anyone and but had a season off.So had no ranking points and was against a player with lots of ranking points.
So they must have been basing odds on ranking points. They put him as 8 to 1 underdog. When at worst he's 50% to win. If he's on his A game maybe 90% to win.
Anyway they changed the odds about a quarter way through the game drastically.
Is that the sort of thing i should be looking for??

So suppose general population won't bet on him because he got no ranking points and they like betting on favorites. But $100 bet on him there would have been pretty sick even if i've overestimated his ability slightly.

Prop Player,

Within your knowledge, for a non-US player, what are the best bookmakers in terms of odds on the Asian Handicap on European big 4 soccer leagues ( English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga)

To my understanding; bodog, ******, Pinny, Betfair, 1***** are the major ones, are there any which i'm missing out on?

And what is your take on soccer handicapping since I believe they are one of the best reduced juice sports available. (-104 pricing on most sites and even better with line shopping)

I love betting tennis but at most sites they cap the limit you can wager at $200 ($500 on Bovada). Why so low???? You can bet way WAY bigger on NFL games.

Bovada is mostly US recreational and probably doesn't get much action on Tennis. 5Dimes will take $500 base on some matches, often less for ITF and much more for other. For example: WTA Petra Kvitova vs. Agnieszka Radwanska right now standard limit is $2500. It varies by match.

@AAsnapfold - for small markets (snooker, volley, probably less so tennis but in ITF in some spots) just knowing the players may work. But you should still look for matches that are widely covered by bookmakers and have an idea of the odds. oddsportal.com is a good site for this. Can compare odds at many bookmakers and then look to use a combo of your knowledge + odds at a certain book that are favorable over what others are offering.

@Keiki8 - Marathon Bet - but they limit. If you think the amount you are betting will increase wait to use them (they limit small bettors just the same). This is a site to hit hard until they reduce your limits. Also Matchbook too.

I was wondering if there was any information regarding how much action an average NCAA basketball game takes in on Pinnacle. 10 million ? 100 million?

Also what do you think would justify a line movement, for example. If were a high roller and betting at 10k per unit and decided to drop 5units on a game. Do you think that 50k would influence the line on a huge sportsbook like pinnacle?

From what i know, the tracking software used today only tells us how many tickets are being sold on each side, not how much money is on each side. For example
Pitt +9 -105 vs UCONN -9 -105
45% of tickets written were on pitt & 55% of tickets were ritten on uconn. So lets say the above line opened @ UCONN -10 we can go ahead make the assumption that although more people have bought tickets on UCON to cover, theres been more money put on Pitt to cover. Usually u can go ahead & make the assumption that theres sharp money on Pitt in this situation. For example, 10 guys bet UCONN at -10 for $20 each, only 1 guy buys a ticket on Pitt+10 for $500. Obv theres been more tix sold on uconn, but theres been more money bet on pitt. So it can b a good tool to use for locating sharp money on a side.
Im not sure about pinnys max wager nccab, but i would have to think that 50k would atleast move the juice around, if not the number & or total. But some1 with pinny access can answer that better, some1 like prop or probrsigs would b good to weigh in on this.

Not aware of the information but NCAA Basketball is only really popular in the US. There is so little trading volume on exchanges and at Asian bookies that will take large limits on football many of them are like $100-$200 max on college hoops. It's no doubt huge in the US though but because the US market is the way it is, don't get see data such as how much matched at exchanges etc.

Re: second part. The limits at Pinnacle are $1,000 early and $3,000 late on point spreads - maybe more for big games, but that's the standard. Can bet the max multiple times when the line moves or limits reset.

Use this link click through several games mouse over odds at Pinnacle and see the movement. That happens automated. Small bets by joe shmoe probably don't move the line but at Pinnacle most large bets move the line regardless, more depending how profiled. With $50K bet however many times in $3K max increments it is going to move the line a ton. If the other side becomes +EV others will buy it until it reduces to a level no big bettors are interested in.

Thanks PP

The limits on NCAA are only 1k-3k? I assumed they would be along the same lines as NBA but I guess you're right, NCAA sports aren't big outside the USA.

I don't believe that 5 Dimes allows Player to Player transfers. I would just sell my NetSpend out right, and then deposit via Western Union to 5 Dimes.

SBR upgraded them to C in January and also published a phone interview with their CEO in November. Start a thread there with the details and file a complaint imo

Yeah, hedge it up.

Bet 8k on a team at youwin. Bet 8k on the another team at another sportsbook

And if he loses the 8k bet at the other book? And hits the one at youwin. Then theyll just steal his 16k instead of 8.

yep thats exactly what they will do. after reading some posts on the sbrforum it sounds as if this site is as dodgy as they come. would strongly advise anyone not to put any money on there. looks like my money is gone

If you had only 5 outs that you could use offshore and bet for a living, what would they be?

I would assume its...

1. Pinnacle
2. Matchbook
3. Thegreek
4. Betfair
5. William Hill

I'm not familiar that much with those european books like betfair, william hill and ladbrokes but i did see they have an A rating on sbr so i put them on the list. I also heard about bet365 as well. I put william hill as 5th because the name sounds much more bigger than ladbrokes.

Would this list be pretty correct? I assume books like bovada and 5dimes are pretty useless for anyone that bets for a living offshore since they are known to limit? The great thing about 5dimes is the reduced juice but is it true anyone that wins and bets for a living probably will have a useless 5dimes account b/c of the limit?

Now what if you only had 3 outs?
