At most US facing online sportsbooks you'll find a lot of the markets such as method of victory come out just before the event, so if you're not seeing what you're looking for check back then.

If you're new to sports betting check out the FAQ sticky on this forum. Understand not all sportsbooks are reputable and many new players grab bonuses by shady sites and run into problems etc. A quick read and the discussion in this thread should get you off to the right start.

So it's been awhile since I've registered at 5Dimes and only now am getting around to attempting to deposit. Was looking at the debit deposit option and it sounded like too much hassle what with sending photocopies of your ID and such. Anyway, I pull up live chat support on the site the other day to ask about information regarding money orders and the chat support guy tells me to send him my user ID and password. I'm thinking it's no big deal, but I even type back to him that I'm a little uneasy letting him know my password and he reply's that it's necessary. Once again I don't think I have to be too worried about on-site support doing anything weird so I give him my password and he tells me they will send my an e-mail with information for money-orders. Never got the e-mail since as of this post and it's been days.

As I said earlier ITT, I'm brand new to on-line sports betting and just wanted someones confirmation weather or not I should be concerned. Am I over-reacting or is this a little shady?

Entirely standard. Is the same way at many books to the point when I start a live chat I say: Hi my account # is XXXX and password XXXXX (of course this at the books I know will ask for it).

It is poor practice but 5Dimes, BetOnline, Bookmaker, DSI etc. will all ask for this. With others when calling on phone, example TheGreek, is the same. First thing they always ask is user name and password.

I'd be lying if I said there have never been security breaches due to this at other books. I'm not aware of any of those at 5Dimes, though is certainly possible. A good idea, if worried about it, you can change your password immediately after finishing with support.

Regarding not getting an email this is sometimes standard. Support reps get overwhelmed and forget things and multiple follow up is sometimes required. Same issue when trying to transfer a friend, I think only around 80% of the time it actually gets done and you will need to contact them back on it the others.

Curious this too. They're owned by Bookmaker right? Are the limits high like Bookmaker or low like DSI?

has anyone been banned from Pinnacle?

They say winners welcome, I was just wondering how serious they are about that?

#hope I test it's limits

Pretty sure Pinnacle and the Asian bookies like SBO don't limit or ban you unless you're doing something dodgy. Their entire business model is based around having winners bet w/ them.

Neither limits for the main markets but does limit otherwise. Pinnacle will restore limits when complain about being limited most the time.

I know Pinnacle will allow you to bet it over and over (in most cases the line has moved but at least it isn't like 5 dimes)

Will ****** allow this? and would a main market on ****** be all soccer? or just more major soccer leagues? All I would be betting on SBO would be soccer.

SBO's large limits are on soccer for Asian handicap. Even smaller leagues can be $8K+ max, but on 1X2 might be $400. For top leagues $12K+ on Asian handicap, but like $4K on 1X2. Multiple max is allowed when odds move or limits reset but is not always consistent, it will show you what is allowed on ticket.

Yeah only soccer is good. Even NFL I think is like $1500 max but higher on night tames. College hoops can be like $100. They are a soccer bookie - the main one for Asian handicap.

ACR uses Bookmaker's book. No bonuses or goodies.

Ok, thank you a ton. I have been doing my soccer betting on Pinny but today they did not have a game I wanted and ****** had it (even 5D did but $100 limit).

Looks like I will need an ****** account after all. Honestly $2.5k is all I will be looking to wager anyways and they seem to have that on almost all lines.

How can you tel if your limits have been reduced. It really looks like my soccer limits have been reduced on Pinny but I can not be certain. I do not want to send an email until I am certain.

The way to tell is to compare notes. Currently for what is on the board a few examples of limits:

Premier League $28K/$10K

Scotland Premier $4K/$2K

Romania Liga I $2K/$1K

Mine is in Euros but ok those check out. Thank you so much btw.

It is the smaller leagues like Northern Ireland League Cup and Scotland Division 2 where it is 542eu and 271eu respectively for Asian. I am just going to assume that is normal and will always have small caps on it.

It would seem ****** has higher limits on all of them, man I have been fighting this because of Moneybookers, oh well. Time to close down 5dimes and ship it to ****** little by little.

Thanks again PropPlayer, you must know how helpful you are but thank you a ton!!!

The smaller leagues you may need to hit a few sites at the same time. SBO is higher than Pinnacle on those but still small; $1667 and $834.

Bovada questions... Do they have any inter-book transfer options? Do they limit only after a certain amount has been won, or are more advanced criteria used? I vaguely remember them having slow pay issues -- are these a thing of the past? How would you rate the overall risk vs. 5d or bookmaker? Thanks.

still slowpaying. checks take about as long as it takes for me to grow a respectable beard. no inter-book.

Unless has recently changed, which I doubt though is possible, Bovada does not offer transfers, neither book2book or player2player and never has.

Wiper, where are you seeing Bovada slow pays? I haven't seen recent complaints.

5Dimes no idea on check to US. I need to contact them during hours though, I requested a NETELLER which almost always comes AM next business day (like clockwork forever) but requested it on an overnight, 2 full business days have passed, and it hasn't been processed. Going to contact to see if it got lost or something, not too worried about it, just odd as always has been hours not days.
