I am new to sports betting, so thank you all for this great resource. I happen to have about $8000 from my poker bankroll sitting around unused, so I'd like to deposit to various sites and do bonus whoring and betting on free tips from good cappers.

Would anyone have suggestions on how many sites would be a good number to start with, and which ones I should go for to do NBA, NFL, and NHL bets? Thanks for any of your thoughts.

Thanks for your advice. Why do you think that it is a bad idea?

In terms of being fast and reliable when it comes to cash outs, as well as having a good # of things to bet on.

I have heard some decent things about Top Bet, but how about some other sites that accept USA players?

If this thread is in violation of the rules, then feel free to lock. Though I would appreciate being pointed to a recent thread or post that talks about sports betting sites that accept US players and pay out quick, and are reliable.

Personally I like bovada, cashouts are fast and painless and they also have some of the juiciest poker on the market.

(Max withdrawal was 2.5k btw and first one was free but $40 for next ones if over 200 or $60 if under 200 they noted).
Are you still using topbet if I may ask, if so how is it?

5dimes charges half rate compared with other books and has fastest cashout in industry.
Free cashout completed within 24 hours(from the time your cashout request to the time the money in your card in 24 hours). I am not aware any restrictions on amount of money you can withdraw and times of withdrawals you can make.

Hola. I'm looking for some new sites that accept and payout neteller and skrill. I already play 5d, will hill, 365, pinny, sports interaction. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Is a lot of those sites. depends what you are betting for what I'd suggest. If betting soccer at any stakes, or most other sports at small stakes, I'd suggest adding ******.com to your list.

Yea I would say 5dimes is probably the best. I feel lines are by far the best and the bonuses they offer are really solid.

Added SBO, don't do much soccer but it looks like a good spot. Thanks

Part of the reason I'm looking for new spots is 5d lowered my max play significantly to the point where I probably won't play there anymore, trying to get the limits raised as we speak.

Their reputation for payouts is overall very good. 6 years ago they had some long delays and worked through them. About 1.5 years ago they had some smaller delays (nothing massive) and worked through those too. Prior to 2007 Bovada paid near instant. After the 2008 issues other than the rare periods of delays, almost all the time they have been fast paying. My last couple checks came in days. 11 out of past 14 months wires were very quick. The 3 months it was late was barely noticeable, just took a few extra days.

For current info: Bovada Payout Thread

If this has been answered before, cut me some slack please. If I am a dual citizen of country X and the United States with proof of residency and all banking facilities in Country X, can I make online plays and transactions with good shops like Cris, Pinnacle, and the bigger Asian shops while in the U.S.? To be clear, all financial transactions with the Book would be made via Country X institutions.

I am going to e mail Pinnacle directly with the specifics, but thought I would ask here first before making a fool of myself.

You need to appear as if you are not in the USA (ip).

I wouldn't ask them or ever mention that you are also an american citizen.

Ok, I understand that response. I don't want to do anything that would in the least bit seem shady. It is not worth it to me. I have read about US nationals setting up shop in foreign domiciles, so I didn't realize that being an American national was a de facto deal breaker. I thought it was all about where the money is coming from/going to.

It's not, it's based on residency. But if you are setting up the account in another country where can at least show yourself to be resident, there's no reason to complicate things and mention your us citizenship. Just open the account from the other country and make sure you don't access it from an IP in the usa.

You think I could make phone plays from a country X cell phone while in Vegas?

No. Look up IP addresses, how they're assigned, and what they identify.
