Online sportsbook doesn't consider wild card games to be "playoffs"

Early season, bet on the Bills to make the playoffs, split the action with my brother. My brother recently asked the question: "do the wild card games count as playoffs?"

I messaged the sportsbook and the company rep in the chat said "I'm going to say no, just because they're playing the wildcard to get into the playoffs" .

The flipside of this of course, is that wild card games are post-season, and most people consider post-season to be "playoffs" . What are your thoughts on this?

Wtf jank ass book is that? Division winners play in the WC games. It’s playoffs.

Thanks for your comments. After I pressed him, he kicked the question up to management, and then I received an email that said:

"I checked with our Line Management Team and they confirmed to me that wild card games do count as playoff games in regards to grading - I wasn't 100% sure so I wanted to make sure I had confirmation instead of giving you an incorrect answer."

So it seems it all works out in the end, although I'd add that he first gave me an incorrect answer (a total guess that favored the sportsbook over the player) and *then* kicked it up to management.

Be careful out there folks.

Lmao... how do you work support for a book and not know the wildcard teams are in the playoffs... I really hope this was in Europe.

You also probably got quite a good line on Bills making the playoffs I would imagine.

Support have given me wrong answers loads of times. They should make them sit a test on there own terms and conditions and have pass 100% before they let them loose on support. I honestly could do better job with zero training.
