My best trend to start each season: Bet against the Cup champions on opening / banner raising night. 1st period and game.
You would think the crowd and excitement would be a plus, but it's a huge distraction.

Does anybody know where to look for goalie confirmation before gametime? And when do you usually have a definite answer? I thought MLB overnight pitcher changing is bad. NHL goalie info is way worse.

Thinking about fading the LV Golden Knights in the opening round against LA. dont get me wrong, LV has been the feel good and fun story of the season (not to mention biggest story, next to say maybe my Blackhawks spiraling.) but LA has a pretty stout team and an excellent guy between the pipes, plus I suspect a lot of action going towards LV on a night basis.

Overall picks for Stanley Cup finals, Preds v Bruins (?) with the Preds finally winning it all.
