Agree, my thoughts also on Cinci after watching them more closely past few weeks. So far I've used NYG, ATL, Minn, GB, SD, Pitt, Houston, Indy, NE, SF.
6 left and I'm the only one with Denver left but they're not really a play til Wk 16 I'm thinking. I just need to for sure get through this week somehow and should be golden in wk 16 with Denver, wk 17 with seattle.

This week's tough as all 6 remaining still have Cinci, Wash, MIA which I think will be the top choices. Seattle might be a play just for separation value but I don't trust them too much on the Road and that also screws up my plan for wk 17. Kinda like Detroit also at first glance but they always find ways to lose games which I hate those kind of teams for ur survival life. Oh also, nobody has Houston left luckily.

I would think so Randal but depending on how big your pool is it may not be that dramatic.
We have 69 now left in our pool but I can almost guarantee you that close to 40 will most likely be on Miami. I honestly don't see an upset here but Jacksonville has been playing better.

So as you can see if Miami wins and there are no real major upsets we may only lose 5 to 10% of the pool, which would suck big time.

Now I'm glad because I'm the only remaining player to have the Texans. I feel very comfortable with Houston coming out with a victory there. So I can sit back and PRAY the Jaguars get a few lucky bounces and squeak out a win.

I was down for the Henne hype for a lil while, but these past couple weeks I'm over it hah Jacks still sux epicly.
Plus MIA's been pretty tough and close to upsetting NE and SF past couple weeks I would say.

Very true, but has Miami packed it in after yesterdays loss? And they have to come all the way back home across the country where as the Jaguars stay in the state of Florida.
And not like Miami is a powerhouse that can be trusted. They got destroyed by Tennessee and have lost to a few other below average teams. A 5 win team is by no means a lock to win any game.

I'm just hoping that Henne can expose a weak Miami secondary and get a few turnovers. Remember, Tanehill only has 8 TD's and 12 picks. Very possible he throws another few on Sunday.

Hey, one can hope. lol

Haha. Thanks man.
Just imagine the Texans win and the Dolphins, Raiders, Browns and Seahawks all lose? That would be insane! I would scoop the entire $91K pool.

Oh man would that be an early Christmas present.

If you ask around you'll find some really big pools. Our pool is a $100 buy in with 323 people. However we have a wrinkle in our pool. It allows 2 rebuys up to week 8. No more rebuys after that. And you must pick 2 games in week 1 and week 8 in order to thin the pool.

There were over 300 1st rebuys and around 280 2nd rebuys. Add all that up and get a little over 90K.

If you live anywhere in the NY/NJ area I can get you into mine next year. Just let me know.

Hell, I gotta buddy of mine that lives in Michigan and this guys in a pool every year that has around 3,000 ENTRANTS! And it's $200 a man dude!
That's 600K and right now their down to less than 30. Imagine that.

Looked a bit more at the picks Today and what to do for my Pool, 3 of 6 of us have Seattle left, 1 of those has NYG left so they'll for sure use NYG wk 17 and thus most likely take Seattle this next wk. So if I took Seattle it would be no more then 2 or 3 of us on that pick, while looks like the rest of the field should take MIA.

I like the MIA pick but just for seperation value Sea looks better, and even though they're on the Road I like them vs Buff then my alternative in wk 17 vs STL based on how STL's been playing past couple games and what their Defense is capable of compared to Buff Defense especially against stopping the Run Game that Seattle has.

Also, I'm the only 1 of 6 left that still has Denver and initially liked them the best in wk 16 but if I use Seattle this week, may have to switch Denver to wk 17 instead of laying my survival life in the hands of an already beaten up Bears Team or Saints. Of the Options this week Cinci, Sea, MIA, Wash...Sea seems to be the most solid, reliable of all those but this is still a hard choice, still can't decide.

I do not envy your position. This is EXACTLY why I saved Houston this long. I could not for the life of me see an easy game this coming week.

However, not sure you if know this but the Bills game is actually being played in Toronto, in the rodgers center. So a dome will help as there wont be any snow or rain. And it's not quite the home field advantage the Bills might be use to. So Seattle may be the play here for you.

But I am going to use Seattle in week 17. Rams wont be able to stop Lynch. My only concern is that they play at 4:00 and they may not have anything to play for at that point.

But lets hope we can get the pool down to 15 or so and divide it up.

Yea just read that also, so its basically Seattle a 2-5 Road Team vs Buff a 2-5 Road Team all of Sea losses on the Road have been ridiculously close games and Buff has had their share of blowouts in their Road losses. Also, Sea is creeping up on that top division spot behind SF I see, liking this a bit more now.

Looks like a more then average chance of my pool going to the playoffs in which case teams get reset and it starts being double picks each week, def don't want that sooo much more work for a small pool (37 started) lol fml.

seattle gonna push hard. if seattle wins it basically forces sfo to win @ new england. if seattle loses, their shot at the division is pretty much done. i'm a seahawks fan so i'm going to be cheering for them, but unfortunately i imagine some people in my pool will be on them. i've already used them so can't take them this week.

I think I'm gonna go Saints this week. Call me crazy but I have a rebuy left.

Then it's NE week 16 and SF week 17 hopefully for all the cheddar.

Let me take a poll here. There's 5 people left in my pool and I'm the only one with a rebuy left. The person who runs the pool says if after week 17 there's more than one person left, it's a chop. Now lets say there's 5 left at the end and I still have none wrong (still have my rebuy). Do I have any claim to the total prize? I don't think it's fair if I didn't get any wrong all season that I have to split with 4 others who lost once already. I would do it where the other 4 get their entry fees back and I get the rest...

True, didn't quite look at it that way til now. Thx. Sea for seperation is good, like this game better then vs STL later, and division shot lies on this win for Sea and Buff is drawing dead for their division. Prob will take them and with a bit of luck be only 1 or 2 on them, but will look at this again later b4 final pick, GL.

Yea you should at the very least get a bigger share then the other remainders who had rebuys, but I'm reasonable...depends who runs your pool. Any rules about this in small print anywhere or that were established before this began? Pulling for ya, looks like your in a good position either way to not get knocked out.

this is why it's good to clarify rules beforehand.

i'm of the opinion that barring any previously disclosed rules, everyone still in the pool at the end should chop it.

a rebuy allows you to rebuy into the pool. they've done that. why should they be treated differently than you?

i think if i ran the pool i may have stated the rules at the start, such that in case multiple still alive at the end, the tiebreaking procedure goes to those that haven't used their rebuy (with rebuy $ being refunded to those who did and are still alive)

but because that doesn't appear to have been done, i think they are just entitled to the prize pool as you are.

I can't imagine it would work like this unless there is something in the rules stating this. In a poker tournament you don't get any additional credit for getting HU having never rebought v. opponent who has. Why would you here?

Additionally, your opponents may have picked more aggressively knowing they had a rebuy, as this probably would be the best line. Penalizing them for rebuying would be unfair.

So, in my opinion, any additional payout to a non-rebuy split winner makes no sense. And, unless there is something stated in the rules, I can't see how a fair pool director could rule any other way.

Let's hope your opponents bust out. GL.

Yeah the lady who runs it doesn't lay out any rules or anything beforehand. It's very lax in that sense.

Lets just hope these guys all get eliminated hahaha

What do you guys think about Cleveland if RG3 sits? I have a buddy thats a Skins fan and he says stay far far away cause the Skins are "Hongry". LOL. They can be hongry all they want but Browns D is very decent and if you have not had real game time action as a rookie it's gonna be hard to step in on the road and win, IMO.

Also have MIA, DET, NYG, OAK, SEA, BAL, CHI, NYJ & NOR available. Along with a few more bad teams. Teams reset in the playoffs so just need to get thru the next 3 weeks.

The issue is that I just don't trust MIA. They already screwed me earlier in my huge pool by getting Lockered vs TN at home. Det is on the road, NYG @ Atl, Oak is gonna Oak, Sea is 2-5 on the road, Bal is playing Eli's big brother, Chi is about to get discount double checked this weekend, Jets suck and NOR is playing a decent TB team.

I am pretty sure that MIA has a picture of my pool entry in their locker room and they all slap it before heading out to field like Notre Dame does:

Only Miami's sign says "The Dude took us so crap the bed today".

Or something to that effect.

House - what team do you like better?

I try not to make my own subjective decisions.

I try to base it entirely off vegas line, pick percentage, future value.

So in terms of who I like to win, I like miami the most. But if i think everyone else in my pool will be on them I'll take someone else. Maybe oak.
