3 left. I was the only one with chance to win outright last week when they both went giants and I went Vikings.

Think I will be in same situation again if I go Pitt they both prob go Atlanta.

Any insight as to how a pool where you can pick the same team each week changes strategy? I got in on a second chance pool that started in week five, never participated in this format.

Im in a pool that started Week 5 also, was in the beginning of season but out with Lions OT loss to Titans way back when, used Giants in Week 5 to move on in 1st week of this new rebuy. Thinking between Pitts to win, Atl to win, Arizona to win, or Minnesota to win but leaning heavily Towards Pitts to Win but don't wanna feel like a fool if knocked out Week 2. (There's 36 from 45 left after last week).

Def wanna save Atl for later, Arizona has been so unpredictable for me in previous Office pools (where you gotta pick all games not elimination) and Pitts I'm not feeling 100% on since Palomalu is out and other D is questionable need a strong pick but balance between strength and conserving some teams for later. Should be fun to talk strategy on here with you guys as I really have no one to discuss this with, elimination/survival especially.

Well I switched to Houston from Minnesota at the last minute last week but I survived. Probably going with Pittsburgh this week, come on Atlanta loss.

As much as I want to take someone other than ATL, they make the most sense in my pool that awards points for #points winning team scores. They are playing OAK who has given up 30+ points in their last 3 games, and ATL has been one of the higher scoring teams in the league.

At the same time, PITT is playing TEN... so that is the other one I am considering. PITT just scares me having lost against OAK...

For people in true survivor pools, TB and NYJ seem like good separation picks this week that could be really rewarding

Actually too sketched out on Pitts now that I looked at it more, gonna go with ATL most likely as this week seems to be a good week to use them if you look towards the future and I'm talking about 4-5 weeks in the future, I'm looking for strong picks the next several weeks as this Pool's talent I'm in isn't very strong I think I may be able to win it outright in next 4-5 weeks so I'll save the gamble for later on, my pool doesn't award points tho just straight up single elimination Last Man Standing and a smallish field 30 of 37 left.
Btw does anyone play Office pools where you gotta pick every single game and a tie breaker on MNF score and best record wins? I've been playing that also past 2 weeks its only $5 but we've been getting 40-45 runners each week, but dammmn r they way harder then survival but makes Sundays way more exciting hah and not much at risk imo.

Given that I have 1 loss in my pool and it's tiebreaker (picking teams that win a lot is bad), I'm going with 1 entry each on Tampa Bay, Washington, NYJ & Miami. I might change Washington and double up on one of the others, but taking 2 entries forward is my goal this week

Sounds good btw do you guys get to see the other player picks before you make yours or if you wait til last minute enough? I don't get that advantage at all

I took Pittsburgh, probably a terrible pick but I picked it out of rage of the Reds losing again today. Almost snap picked the Colts for a second in my anger.

Does anyone have strong opinion on Arizona this week, one way or another? I know Kolb is not a good starting NFL QB and Ryan Williams just went on the IR but they are home, have 10 days rest, and near the top of the league in sacks and middle of the road in rushing D.

Do you guys see Buffalo pulling out a win in the desert here? Fitzy is too erratic and the defense has tons of holes.

I may just go with Atlanta after all is said and done but want to look at some separation and with Oakland off a bye and Atlanta going to a bye, this game maybe closer than expected.

Also looking at Tampa and Jets...

Maybe I'm biased because I've been burned this Season i was leaning towards Buffalo, although Cardinals should win on paper in so many more ways but who the *** knows with all these crazy upsets so far this Season I might just flip a coin on that game but then again I'm only playing that game in a $5 office pool pick em all, not survival...I would avoid it if you can, maybe wait til they play the Browns.

Your pool doesn't show picks before games start?

No. The deadline every week is Sunday at 1est. So picks aren't shown till then. If u want to pick thurs game needs to be in before kickoff. Standard yahoo pool imo.

I am never picking Pittsburgh again in a survivor pool, this is the 3rd time they've knocked me out in the last 4 years I think.

Tally from local pool, $200/entry, starting with 900+, down to 71

Atlanta 43
San Fran 9
Arizona 4
Philly 4
Tampa 3
Miami 2
Houston 2
New England 2

Not surprising to see more than half on Atlanta.

Any comments from the sluffs that said saints were a bad pick when they lost to the chiefs?

Our pool started with 2924 and is down to 173. Flippin bloodbath! One entry left and sweated it with Atlanta. Using survivorpoolmap.com to plan out picks somewhat and like the path - although anything can and will happen. I just refuse to take road games unless I am litterally out of options. Road games in NFL are a beoootch to prognosticate.

Leaning towards Oakland, Minn or NE this week. Jacksonville traveling across the country to play a decent Oak team seams safe but being a 4 pt fav means Vegas thinks this will be closer that the Dude would like. 3 pts for home field essentially means this game is a tossup. Don't really like tossups in survivor pool. Like Minnesota coming off a loss back at home but Skelton might be playing and Ariz could rebound. Vikings are 3-0 at home. Thats a plus. Also looking at Indy at home vs Cleveland. Can Cleveland get up again after an emotional win over Cincy? Indy had a bad outing to Jax at home but generally has played well beating GB and Minn in that dome. Also like NE (obv) but would prefer to save them if possible.
