This is an interesting week. The are 5 double-digit spread games, and I haven't picked any of the favorites yet.

I am leaning towards Philly this week. Looking at their schedule I don't see another game where they will be a huge favorite, minus the WAS games I guess.

I have mapped out the rest of the season for me and based on this my pick this week is going to be Jacksonville. I have already used Baltimore, Washington, Philly, San Fransisco, and New York Giants.

I considered picking NYJ, GB, or Pitt this week, but as I mapped it out they all have easier games throughout the rest of the season so I decided to save them.

NYJ- I considered their easiest games left to be at Oakland next week, and week 13 @ Buffalo

GB- easiest games left are at Clev next week, and at Tampa week 9

Pitt- even though they are the safest bet this week, they have a ton of easy games left. These include: at KC in week 11, vs. Oak in week 13, at Cleveland in week 14

---So basically I just mapped out each team I have yet to pick and look at their easiest games. Things can change week to week but I definitely recommend saving Arizona for week 16 vs. St.Louis, as they do not have any other games that come remotely close to being this good. Houston at St. Louis for week 15, Tennessee vs. St. Louis for week 14, and NO at St. Louis for week 10.

This then led me to my pick of Jacksonville because the only other very easy game I see for them is week 9 vs. KC

Guarantee that GB won't be anywhere close to a 2 TD favourite in either of those games.

I suppose your right. Now that I think about it Green Bay might be a better play. Tough for me to admit since I am a die hard lions fan. I think its close though.

I have to agree with True North here, 2blacks9s, until GB shores up its O-line and Defense, it's hard to see them as 2 TDs fave over anyone. The only reason I decide to have a look at the Pack this week is they are fresh off a bye and at home against a Lions squad going into a bye and possibly missing Calvin Johnson.

For me it's between Pitts, GB, and NYJ. On GB right now, but may take the time to look at future schedules and change.

I'm on GB. Their most winnable game. We can find out if JAX sucks by the time they play KC in Week 9.

looking at week 7 there doesn't look to be many great games. maybe NYG vs. arizona. the rest of the decent picks look to be road teams. gb@cle could be decent and valid reason for saving them this week.

i'm going GB this week. 6 left in my pool, and I've saved IND/NYG/PIT/NWE/MIN/BAL. Hopefully I can ride those 5 to victory the next 5-6 weeks.

Anyone like NYG vs ARI for next week? Don't know when else to use NYG.

NWE vs TB (neutral in London)
IND @ STL (also has home vs SF and HOU the next 2 weeks)
NYJ @ OAK
SD @ KC (like saving SD for when they hit their stride and they play OAK and KC again, both at home)

are the other possibilities.

New England vs. TB isn't a road game. Neutral site game in London. Pats are clearly the play next week. I made the same mistake earlier in the thread.

Edit: Didn't even read one post further.

Week 9 GB @ Tampa looks better to me. Yeah, its at Tampa, but I think Detroit is a much more dangerous team than Tampa this year.

Uh, Indy @ St. Louis??? Who gives a **** if it's on the road. St. Louis is atrocious and Indy is one of the best teams in the league.

How many times does this not picking road teams strategy have to be debunked in here?

Ya, week 9 looks much harder than week 7 to come up with a matchup.

Week 7
NE vs TB
Indy vs STL
NYJ vs OAK
GB vs CLE

And there haven't been many opportunities to take NE, IND, or NYJ so that's probably not a problem.

Week 9
GB vs TB
WAS vs ATL
KC vs Jacksonville (?)
CAR vs NO (?)

I think I'll save GB for week 9. I think I'll go with Philly. Washington Week 12 is their next gimme for a quick glance.

Not thrilled with GB enough to want to 'save' them. This week I'd go Philly if I had them, but I don't so I'm going GB. Next week there's a handful of semi-strong options, but NWE v. TB looks like the best so far.

8 will be SD v OAK, IND v SF.
9 will be IND v HOU, NO v CAR
10 will be MIN v DET.
11 will be PIT @ KC, NO @ TB, ARI @ KC
12 will be ATL v TB, SD v KC
13 will be PIT v OAK, DEN @ KC, CHI v STL
14 will be BAL v DET.

Getting a bit ahead of myself though. Only 6 teams left in my league, so hopefully my horses can carry me to week 15, which should be plenty.

Who's going to have the balls to take Detroit to beat the Rams at home in week 8?

Moving on to another week.

Indy or GB next week here.

man, that was a close game for jax. was sort of regretting the pick, but am now happy. perhaps gb next week now.

in a way their failed 2pt conversion on their 1st quarter td might have won them the game cuz if not then st. louis goes for a td at the end of the 4th instead of kicking a field goal to tie it.

great coinflip in ot

Not too many entries got eliminated, actually none in my Big Pools so far. Cincy went down but that only removed a couple from the smaller Pool. I don't think Tenny can knock off the Pats in this weather but maybe Buffalo can make some noise.

I think we will see the separation starting in Week 8 or 9.

****, nobody knocked out of either pool for me unless the Jets or Eagles lose.

now it gets interesting.

2/3 of my Pools are done, thanks to the Raiders.

More pending the Jets.

Any given Sunday. We need more of this stuff.

I mentioned this in SE yesterday...the reason Survivor has been so boring is because of the huge gap between the bottom-feeders and the rest of the league. Before the Raiders and Bills won yesterday, the worst ten teams (defining that as STL, OAK, KC, BUF, CLE, TB, CAR, TEN, WSH, DET) had played 38 games against the other 22 teams, and had lost every single one of them.
