The games are fixed and Yahoo accidentally posted the results beforehand. Nice catch.

for some reason 15% of ppl on gb in week 5 and 19% on new orleans. People pick randomly.

Glad to have the Bucs out of the way as they made way too many mistakes.

Giants and not much else for Week 5.

I suspect the majority of the pools will have action on:

NYG vs Sea - you are using the Giants here or in week 8 after their bye vs Miami. Otherwise its not pretty.

HOUS vs Oak - houston isn't a bad choice but you do have home games vs Jax, Carolina and Cleveland ahead. probably better to save them.

Fringe choices:

NO @ Carol - usually not smart to use a divisional road team, NO better saved for vs Indy (week 7), vs Carol (week 17) or even @ STL (week 8)

PITT vs Tenn - Pitt looks to be in shambles and Big Ben may be hurt but I doubt this team falls to 2-3 at home. Save them for their 2nd half schedule when they should be healthier (@cincy, @kc, vs cincy, vs cleve, vs stl, @ cleve)

Houston without Andre Johnson is a horrible pick, especially given their upcoming schedule.

Only other decent pick I can see is New England, they're nearly as big a favourite as the Giants.

I don't think this is a week to get fancy, I'd take the Giants and move on. I think NYG -10 is actually pretty sick value, the Seahawks always get curbstomped in the Eastern time zone.

Probably going to be on the Chargers in Denver if Gates is playing.

Agree that this is slam dunk NYG. That's what I'm doing here.

Afraid of 4 potential upsets this week, so I'm going with the ones that I think have the smallest chance of losing. They're also the biggest favorites.

NYG in every pool in which I haven't yet picked them. New England in the rest. Hate taking NE this early, but I couldn't pull the trigger on the other 4. Picking against fully capable teams is risky unless they're playing the Patriots.

Going to double up on NYG at home vs. SEA this week, but I'm not thrilled about it.

Pool 1: HOU , DET, SDC, GBP
Pool 2: SDC, NYJ, PIT, TBB

So 23 remaining out of 45 or so in my lone survivor pool.

I think it's pretty clear either NYG or NE. 9 of these poolies have already burned the Pats, only 1 has used the Giants so I would expect most of my pool to be on NYG a) because they can't use NE or; b) because they want to save NE.

Also agree with previous post that the Giants have currently 0-4, Henne-less Miami at home coming up relatively soon in week 8. Pats are obv awesome to have available for survivor but I don't see a soft spot like that for them soon and for example, they don't host Miami til Christmas Eve.

So I'm thinking I should actually pick the Pats because I'll get some differentiation out of the deal as well (?)

I have a double pick week.

Going NY Giants, but then I'm torn between New Orleans and New England for my second pick. Thoughts?

I'd try and stay away from both. Road divisonal game and divisonal game.

I think I'd prefer Houston over New England or New Orleans for your second pick.

FYI Chad Henne out for the season. Miami is on a bye this week, but the Dolphins signed Sage Rosenfels and are at NYJ next week.

in 3 entries, not sure if i should take nyg in all 3, or try to avoid the TKO by taking one other team for the third pick.

i really want to use the vikings if i do go that route. they're better than their record dictates (hung with 3-1 san diego, 3-1 tampa, 4-0 detroit) and arizona has looked pretty awful the last few weeks. thoughts?
