This is a double week for me. I think my two are gonna be the Lions and Dallas. Even though the Cowboys are on the road, this is almost a must win scenario for them in week 2.

I don't mind buffalo if you are gambling a bit for a bigger edge later, especially if you are doing a huge pool with a monster payout that runs into the playoffs and you need to save some big guns for the end game, but there are definitely more sure things.

I love when West coast teams go east to play 1pm (10am) games. If someone had any stats on that im sure you would see some east coast domination.

The only problem I have with Buffalo is that they're gonna lose. Pittsburgh this week. Survive and advance.

big +1 to this. if you're in a massive pool of 100+ entries, then i don't mind saving teams as much. however, if it's a small pool, just go with the best picks of the week, you might end up winning it all by week 5 or 6 doing this.

and yeah, unless detroit plays really sloppy and turns it over a bunch, they're going to beat kc. i still don't think cassel is fully healed, he looked atrocious vs the bills.

Not a must win in the regards of playoffs, however after blowing that one last week at New York, if they come out and lose to SF that spells red flag. But I did talk myself out of it, went with DET and PIT

PIT is a fantastic pick this week. Home opener, pissed off after the beating they took in BAL, at home to a west coast team (and a ****ty one in SEA) travelling east. It's the perfect storm. Too bad about half of poolies are on the Steelers. They have a juicy home schedule (JAX, TEN, CIN, CLE and STL) as well as a number of suitable weeks where they're good options on the road. I'm saving them for later.

GB is also excellent, and there's a lot less people on the Pack then there are on the Steelers. Great future value though, with home games against DEN, STL, MIN, TB, OAK, CHI and DET. I'll pass, especially in larger pools.

NYJ looks good, too. Favored by over a touchdown, and not that great of a schedule. Home against MIA, BUF and KC later in the year. Might be worth saving, but I'd use them before GB and PIT.

I'm going to be on DET. Only one future home date looks appealing, and it's not until week 11 when CAR comes to town. There's a couple other great home games that week (BAL home to CIN, NE home to KC), so there's no reason to worry about burning them now. KC is inept, DET is making their home opener, favored by over a TD, I like them.

Pit, GB, Jets this week.

LOL at 'saving' teams. As if you knew what the injury situation for any team would be at the end of the season.

Detroit >>> NYG >>> NYJ >>>>>>> Pittsburgh

Went with Detroit for ~70% of my picks and the rest with NYG.

Used Texans & Jets. Lock up the Chargers for next week. Good Lord KC is bad.

Everyone will be on the Chargers next week although I am sure the Patriots and Steelers will also get some looks.

Hope the Rams knock out the G-men tomorrow as that would clean up a few stragglers. I hope we don't see a repeat of 2008 (or 2009 I can't remember exactly) where 20%+ poolies went the distance and split the pot multiple ways...they probably went against the Lions a bunch of times, I know I did lol.

After switching BUF to NYJ I guess I can be happy that it didn't take 2 fourth down conversions in the fourth quarter to go through... right?

Another double week for me, SDC and TEN look like the play right now. If Romo is healthy then possibly Dallas

I think this is what I'm playing in my two also.

May switch from TEN to PHI if it's confirmed Vick passes the concussion tests and plays. I know it's a division game, but I was at the Monday night game and saw nothing to indicate that the Giants aren't going to be destroyed by Philly.

POOL 1: Used SDC, NYJ
POOL 2: Used HOU, DET

Why in the hell would anyone take TEN instead of PIT? Taking PHI... against a divisional opponent... on Monday Night Football... with a concussed QB. Sounds like a winning plan!

Point taken; PIT @ IND is also in the mix. Is NYG @ PHI on MNF?
