I took Arizona week 1 and had it to sweat it. I'm taking Pittsburgh this week.

heard that nicks is doubtful. no way i'd take giants, i like the rams to win.

i'll take the steelers, and hope a bunch of people get eliminated trying to save teams for later.

Lions at home against Chiefs intrigue me as well

I took arizona week 1 and now going with Steelers at home looking to bounce back against the seahawks. I'm definitely going with the strategy to use the teams favored by a lot and not afraid to use up the good teams while other people gamble and get elmiinated going with marginal matchups....

I think this is the way to go, we'll see

You are going to be sorely disappointed to see ~80% of the remaining entries on Pittsburgh, though.

I think the Steelers should be saved...they obviously took a beating last week and should respond, but just in case there is a hangover effect, I'll be saving them for a later home matchup vs Cincy or Cleve.

I really like the Jets this week.

The cardinal rule of survivor picks is NEVER pick divisional rivalries. Those are the toughest games to predict. So, don't save the Steelers for Browns or Bengals... that's virtual survivor suicide.

Pool 1: Took HOU, taking DET this week
Pool 2: Took SDC, taking BUF this week

I like both of these options at home against weak AFC West teams. Considering DAL (@SF) and DEN (v. CIN) as well.

Buffalo? I don't like that pick.

Buffalo's offensive line is a joke and Oakland's defensive line is a monster. There are far better choices out there than Buffalo. Wait a few weeks to see if they are a contender or a pretender before choosing them.

So for ESPN leagues I have to use the same team for all my groups?

My thinking was that if I don't take them now, they aren't getting picked at all. Their future schedule is:

OAK
NE
@CIN
PHI
@NYG
BYE
WAS
NYJ
@DAL
@MIA
@NYJ
TEN
@SD
MIA
DEN
@NE

None of those jump out at me as even remote possibilities.

Reexamining this, I think I may change that pick to NYJ (v. JAX) though.

Yeah, I just didn't think they were in the bottom 44% of the league. I thought I was going to end up picking them at some point during the year.

They're ranked 27th in the ESPN Power Rankings. That's definitely in the bottom 44%. Why in the world would you think you'll need to pick a team that's ranked so low to beat any other team in the NFL?

Heck, the Raiders are power ranked 18th... so, according to the power ranking, they should beat Bills.

There's a reason the Bills are ranked so low. They don't spend money on players and they have very little talent.

Yah, ******ed draft picks probably have more to do with their decade of futility than the weather. And Lol @ espn power rankings.

I do agree that could be a bad matchup as Oakland's DL is much better than Buffalo's OL. I'd rather pick them vs. the Broncos or Titans if for some reason you felt the need to pick the Bills at some point.

Kansas City losing Eric Berry was rough. There goes the KC secondary. I like Detroit to win this one at home as well.
