I'm going Rams in larger pools, Dolphins in small pool (4 remaining). Mapped out the remaining season too, in case i need it.

Just one entry left in a big pool; will go safe and just pick Chiefs or Dolphins.

Looking at Seattle this week but don’t feel good about it.

Week 7 might be time to take LV Raiders against Chicago Bears ...

Green Bay or Tampa Bay options as well. Will have to wait and see injury reports as week progresses.

I'm thinking Seattle. Still alive in all 3 pools so far. 1 has double picks in week 8 to consider.

Seattle is terrible EV this week.

I'm strongly considering Baltimore. Have used Washington, Buffalo, Kansas City, Chargers, Las Vegas, Rams.

You think Baltimore against Detroit is a better pick than Seattle against Arizona?

I don't follow this logic.

Right now, on Survivor Grid 52% of entries are on Seattle. In my pool with about 3,800 remaining, it will be a minimum of 35% and probably more than 40% since it's really a top heavy week. I will gain massive equity if AZ is able to pull off the unlikely upset and Baltimore win. We see these things happen all the time.

If you routinely take sheep picks, you're either going to fall off the cliff with them or win $10. I may yet go with Seattle. But it's -EV.

Okay, I see what you're saying based on your league's remaining entries.

But I'm in 2 smaller leagues and 1 with around 800 remaining. In the 2 smaller leagues, 1 has 3 left and 1 has 17 left. I don't think taking higher risk chances is the optimal strategy at this point.

With 3 remaining, I'm taking Seattle. I have different teams remaining than the other 2 who are still alive so i can pick better weeks to potentially differentiate myself from them.

With 17 remaining, I'm taking Buffalo.

With 800ish remaining, I'm taking Seattle also, and saving some better teams for next week when I have to pick 2. It was a feee elague that started with 8000+ entries and has a prize at the end of a paid of SB tickets. I can take some chances there but still feel like it's better to wait and pick my spots. Future value only works if i survive to the future weeks.

It's not about Baltimore being a better pick, it's about trying to fade majority of pool so you have a chance to win it all.

I'm going LV Raiders, don't love it, but think very few entries will be on them.

Makes sense in a bigger pool. In a smaller pool, i think t's better to be more straightforward.

Thanks. Am I wrong in my thinking? It seems that once the numbers are lower, higher risk plays are less valuable. Or is that wrong?

I'm still trying to learn best practices for survivor and this is my best year so far, in terms of how long I've made it.

I'm out, but this is pretty exciting week. I like Washington little more than Tampa Bay (just because of projected pick %). I don't know where I'd rank Las Vegas because I see a possible strong need for them in 9 or 10, but I 'd use them over the Top 7 favorites (sorting on SurvivorGrid.com). Like Rams better than Las Vegas. Think I prefer Green Bay over Las Vegas, but Las Vegas is a sharp pick for sure - as long as you're setup well for 8 or 9. Las Vegas is probably a FADE actually in 9, but they feel like a strong contender in 10

I did the foolish thing and took Seattle with 55%. But Baltimore is awfully good. That's a high-value team and that's a big reason I went with the sheep this week. Love having them for later. Seattle ended up being a sweat cause of Geno's key turnovers.

I stuck with Seattle in the big and small pools, but took Buffalo in the medium pool. Out of that one.

Small pool is down to 2, as one of the remaining took Green Bay.

Large pool is down to 580, from a starting number of 8,068. Next week is a double pick week. Thinking 2 out of Buffalo/Jets/Houston.

I'm going Ravens where there are 2 of us left and the other person already used Baltimore.

In my large pool with double picks this week, I'm going Chargers and Ravens.

Wash, Buffalo, KC, LAC, LV, LAR, Seattle...

I'm probably taking Detroit this week, which should have a 20% or lower percentage of players due to all the good choices. I don't envision a lot of eliminations no matter who you take. I plan to hold on to Baltimore because week 9 is likely to be top heavy with Cleveland/New Orleans and I'll fade that. Might go with Baltimore vs Seattle in 9 or vs Cleveland in 10 if I'm still alive.

I switched to Baltimore yesterday morning due to Detroit's injuries and LV getting some players back. But that screwed up my week 9 favorite. Week 9 is going to be really top heavy on Cleveland and New Orleans. PJ and Carr. Really gross week.

Yeah, the Arizona news has me wanting to stay away. Bagent fir the Bears makes me lean to NO. Maybe Atlanta depending on the Minnesota qb situation?

Fascinating week coming up ahead. Fasten your seat belts. Don't take Cleveland or New Orleans and hope you PICK A WINNER. There's 4 teams that look VERY attractive.

Anyone know of a pool that starts this week and has 2x picks right from the start? I want to get back in.

I'm also looking to buy someone's entry too. Contact me if interested. I'm going to be pretty selective though who from, but I wanted to throw it out there.
