Almost certainly nevermind on what I posted above. Some guy has 3 entries left. That's amazing. Surely, he'll have a non Washington or Tennessee entry

What are your thoughts on pools that go the distance using the playoffs as the tiebreaker? So everyone left, their teams reset and they start over. Feel like the playoffs could have a ton of variance and hate to have to flip for 100k. I personally think whoever is left after 18 weeks should just chop it.

I prefer pools that end at end of regular season, but I play in 1 that goes into the playoffs. You can use a team 2x in playoffs if you did NOT use them during regular season. Otherwise, you can use them 1x. My partner and I have chopped this pool twice. Lot of strategy goes into the playoffs. Don't like it as much now that only 1 team from each league gets a bye.

Going forward, this will be the only pool I'll likely play that doesn't end after Week 18.

To answer your question, it's all a matter of preference. However, there's a lot of value the more players their are that make it to the playoffs the BETTER as long as there's restrictions on how many times you can use a team.

Looks like we will all be on different teams which should be fun. Good luck!

A few anxious moments in both games but made it through to the end in the 365000 pool. Chopped with somewhere between 15-19 people depending on what happens in LAC.

Long -ass season where I ran like god.

See you next year!

I chopped the Nitro Captain pool 5 ways. Congrats to all the winners in this thread.

Has anyone here had an issue with a Nitrogen making you roll over your survivor entry fees before you withdraw your winnings?

They’re saying I need to roll over my deposit 1x, and that survivor entry fees don’t count. I’ve cashed 3 times before and they’ve never told me I need any roll over to withdraw.

I cashed out with no issue . I didn't rollover my deposit. I only deposited to play the Survivor Pools.

Why? just curious

it is a totally different tourney this time around, the price point last year was 333 (I bought 3 and got a discount so only paid 150 for each), this year I believe it is only 100...It is also overlayed pretty good last year because they made the prize pool so big

I wanna say like 11-14 people split

Thanks. I wish they would add some tie breakers to reduce the eventual winners. The Circa pool is adding additional picks (must pick both Thanksgiving and Christmas winners). Or, ties will then face a tie breaker where the lowest win % of picked teams wins it all.

yeah the circa did that last year, not a bad idea

dont like the lowest win % of picked teams though really, i don't think that really adds strategy as much as it just adds randomness/makes it more of a lotto

how are the nitro contests? i might do a few of those this year, never have done them before

Nitrobetting has NFL preseason squares where you pick your own numbers. Not many get in so you can get 7-0 or a 3-7 to yourself. Lots of Survivor contests, one free.

Where are you seeing this on nitrogen? When I navigate to the links on the site it takes me to last year's NFL survivor contest.

I did find a link to one contest on twitter, but it seems different from what you're describing. The info is at: https://twitter.com/NitrogenSports

So, who are people going to fade in Week 1? Baltimore? Tennessee?

I'm leaning toward taking Carolina or Washington?

Looks like a super split week 1 from all early indications of public picks that I see. Very unlikely that any team gets over 20% of the action in week 1.

Indy, Tennessee, & Baltimore look to be around 13 to 19% public picks each. San Fran & Denver around 10%.

Four of the five are on the road. Should be an interesting first week!

Was thinking CIN, is that too much of a Week 1 gamble?

I like Cincinnati as a pick this week. Similar Vegas line to a lot of the other favorites, lower ownership, not a great schedule this year. Their best spot is home vs. ATL in week 7, which is a week where Detroit, NYJ, NYG, Houston, and Seattle all have road games as well, so you shouldn't be short on options in that week.

New Orleans >>> Cincinnati > San Francisco

Lots of playable choices this week. I like Philadelphia a lot too, but I decided to take only 3 teams
