I agree it's annoying. However, it wouldn't happen if people didn't criticize picking teams with weak secondaries or beat up offensive lines and saying things like the Colts can win even though they're the biggest underdog in the week week

Add Rams and Jets to the list. Knocked out quite a few stragglers in my Pools.

I finally learned this year you gotta survive first and worry about the rest later. Being too cute will bite you in the ass my man.

Kinda felt like everything was going against Arizona all game, that TD called back in Q2 I definitely thought should have stood. Great final drive by them tho to make up for the rest of the awful drives they had.

Ran perfect in the early games (but it wasn't easy) and maximum sweat in the Arizona game. Seattle losing would've been better, but on to Week 5

Pretty much my exact thoughts, I haven't used either yet on my one surviving entry (out of 3) just going to see which team's the bigger favourite and take them as I doubt i'll be picking either in future weeks. Not sure what's going on with Oakland's injuries i'll check in a few days I guess

If the Eagles aren't used this week you can use them in Week 8 vs. SF or Week 12 vs. CHI

They are a 7 point favorite vs. Arizona this week

Oakland can be used Week 13 when they host NYG

I'm looking at PIT for week 5. Saving PHI for week 8 vs. SF.

Week 5 is interesting. Probably mix between pit/phi/oak. Will stay pretty chalky this week.

The pool I'm in had 248 original entries. Had Seattle lost, there would only have been 9 left - the 9 who took Green Bay on Thursday. As it is, we're down to 65 and I'm still in.

A lot of people used Pitt week 1 vs Cle so I like using them here. Ownership will be a little lower because of that and they are by far the biggest fav of the week.

Their FV isn't great if you don't include Cleveland in week 17 and given how bad their division is, good chance that game is meaningless just like it was last year.

Just kindof a no brainer for me.

edit: Carr out 2-6 weeks with a back injury. There goes any ownership for Oakland.

I'll still take all Pitt in my league that locks on Thurs. Might go 2/1 Pitt/Phi in the one that locks Sunday. Not sure yet.

One thing that could work in leagues that lock early in the week is going with Minnesota for max leverage. Given they just lost their star RB and Bradford's status will be up in the air, they will likely have 1% ownership on a week where besides Pitt nobody will be over -7. And after Philly, no one over 3.5.

If Bradford plays, I'd expect Minn to be about -4 to -4.5ish vs a rookie QB with no WR's. If he sits, probably a PK. He was ruled out on Thursday last week though, so not sure if he is close to playing. Maybe we'll know moreby Wed. 1 of my leagues picks lock by midnight Wed.

Pitt
NYG

Some combination of those.
Also considering Cleveland (ouch)

Saving Phi/Det/Min all the other 3 pt faves for later.

We have very similar thinking so far this year.

I'll be on Pitt & NYG. And looking at Cleveland for my rebuy pools.

I believe the Chargers are a better football team than the Giants so I wouldn't touch that one. They'd be 2-2 if their kicker makes standard kicks, and I'm of the opinion that he's more likely to regress to the mean, making him capable of making kicks going forward, than to remain 0% on game deciding kicks. The Giants, meanwhile, are a dumpster fire and Eli actually won't be any younger in week 5 than he's been all season.

Half of all pools will be taking PIT and you don't win pools by doing what everyone else in the pool does. Horrible strategy.

The play here is Minnesota. Get your equity going real good on the big time Vikings against a garbage team with a QB making his first ever NFL start and just his 13th start since high school. He's used to facing pass rushes that feature Billy, the 19 year-old who somehow is only in his senior year at high school...and whoever Wake Forest and Duke use as pass rushers.

Case Keenum, meanwhile, I believe remains the all time NCAA recordholder for passing yards and is just gonna put on a clinic with his boy Stefon Diggs, mega break-out WR of the year. LAI.

I disagree in part with your logic, but your taste in literature is beyond reproach. I read Fable a long time ago and it is awesome.
