Screw the people who took Cincy, Philly and San Diego as well :-)

Have a feeling we will just have to split the pot this year.

Go Chris Redman go, greatest ****** day! and Vince Young too!!!

Steelers good for next week?

Depends on if Big Ben is back or not.

Also depends on if you've burned your Bengals pick too.

Lots of people will be on the Steelers this week too. Something to think about.

CHI (vs. STL)
IND (vs. TEN)
CIN (vs. DET)
NO (@ WAS)
DEN (@ KC)

These teams should also be on your short lists, depending of course on who you've used so far.

Not sure if you want to put your hard-earned dollars on Gay Cutler at this juncture.

KC is usually pretty competitive at home.

Cincy is probably the best one out of your lot. I prefer to take Indy next week against Denver.

Cincy is going to be the majority pick 3 weeks in a row. Pretty hard for that to happen (impossible if they didn't lose to Oakland)

I had Cincy and SD this last week, and next week(13) at first I had SD vs KC for week 12, then changed it to Cincy vs Cle because Cincy was at home. Now next week(13) I got SD @ Cle.

I still have some heavy hitters left=
Indy/Pitt/NWE/NO/Balt/Den/Hou/Phi and SD who I'm taking this week.

we have 8 left of our 30 original. 25 buy in.

That's really sick, the lineup you have left is almost too good.

Yea I lucked out early in the season...Pretty much picked against KC, STL, DET, and CLE all season ATL over Wash, and Jets over Oak, were the only times I didn't.

what do ppl think between picking DEN (@KC) this week vs picking the jets (@ BUFF), noting that denver also plays at home in week 17 vs KC if we wait to use them?

don't have much else really for this week except for Indy (home against TENN, but TENN scares me now) and Carolina home against tampa but i think del homme is out now and wouldn't really wanna touch that anyway.

i think i can make it through the rest of the weeks pretty confidently if i make it through this week.

Given those choices, I would take Carolina. Delhomme would be benched if he wasn't injured. They have a tough schedule the rest of the way so they'll be pumped for their last win of the season.

I live in Charlotte and am a huge Carolina Panthers fan. Even if they were my last eligible team I wouldn't pick them.

#1 - Too many injuries...
Jordan Gross (especially with a new QB in this week)
Thomas Davis (surgery yesterday)
Muhsin Muhammad is beat up
Deangalo Williams and Jonathan Stewart didn't practice today and the running game is the only offense they've got.
#2 - Fan support
The city is really down on the team right now (rightfully so) and there a bad vibe everywhere. It takes a lot for the fans to get behind their team here. Very wine and cheese and bandwagon. Makes me want to throw up every time I think about those ******ed 'Got Jake' t-shirts every cougar soccer mom had on a few years ago. In fact, on sports radio this morning to host was talking about how everyone should get behind the Saints for the playoffs.
#3 - Weather
It's going to be cold all weekend and rainy (possible snow) on Saturday. If the weather continues in Sunday I think the stadium will look like it normally does in the 3rd quarter, empty.

Suggestions for the rest of the season?
235 players to start - 32 left (no drops last week). $30 buy-in. No strikes. Winner take all.

Here are my pics so far
NO
WAS
BAL
IND
NYG
GB
NE
SD
SEA
MIN
DAL
CIN

I took PIT this week but can change it if there is something better. Of the remaining 32 players 17 of them have already used PIT.

That leaves me ARI, DEN, PHI, ATL, JAC, HOU, MIA, NYJ, SAN, TEN, BUF, CAR, CHI, KC, OAK, DET, CLE, STL, and TB.

Of the players left (not including myself)
4 have NO available
7 have IND
1 has NO and IND
0 have MIN
13 have CIN

I am thinking as of right now...
13 - PIT home or DEN away (hate picking away teams though)
14 - HOU, JAK, or TEN all home
15 - DEN or PHI both home
16 - ATL or ARI both home
17 - JAK away, DEN home (all the crappy teams are at home this week)

If you still have the Chargers available, this maybe the best week to use them, besides Cincy.

Shaun *Big Baby* Rogers who is arguably the best defensive player for the Browns is done for the season. That and the Chargers will play at the 4 p.m. time slot in Cleveland vs. the customary 1 p.m. EST, not that it matters a whole lot against these Brownies.

The only other week that I could feel comfy taking the Chargers is Week 17 when they host the Redskins and who knows what will happen then.

This is interesting. One one hand, I like the 4pm start time as it's the usual start time for the Chargers. I don't think this should matter though... these guys have been in town for 5 days or so getting used to getting up on time.

On the other hand, I hate picking 4pm games as most other people in survival pools would be through to the next week by then. I don't want to be sitting there sweating a game knowing that everyone else but me is through already.

In any case, just a couple of tiny issues to think about. Chargers are a great pick this week.

Has anyone else looked ahead to the week 17 schedule? Looks very tough initially. Denver and San Diego could both be fighting for the division title, so these games could be very meaningful.

Denver's a great play in Week 17, but then that would likely mean having to use the Eagles in Week 15 against SF.

Pittsburgh loss knocked me out of a smaller pool but I am still alive in my biggie with Cincy.

Oakland has become giant-killers and survivor pools eliminator this year. Go Browns!

Looking at Tenny and/or Indy next week. 4 more weeks to go boys and girls. It's going down to the wire!!

I'm through with Cincy too, only 3 people left after Pitt loss today! Here's what I have projected for the last four weeks (the bold teams are who I am leaning towards each week):

WEEK 14: Pittsburgh/Tennessee
WEEK 15: Denver/Houston/Philadelphia
WEEK 16: San Francisco/Arizona
WEEK 17: San Diego/Denver

I think this week is going to be tough, especially if people have picked most of the elite teams thus far...

Thoughts on WEEK 14 or my picks the rest of the way?

Since there are only 3 of you left, have you thought about splitting the pot with the other 2 dudes and calling it a day?

I don't know how big is your pot and what other teams the other players got but it seems a reasonable idea to me, at this stage of the season.

That being said, if you want to press on, I think both Pitt and Tenny are great choices for next week. I don't think Tenny has a chance to make the playoff but the Rams is just pathetic.
