The Dream will get Erika De Souza back but interesting to see how they would use Iziane Castro Marques whom had fitted in extremely well in Indiana's series; the Dream had employed small lineup which best worked with their defense of the passing lanes and fast transition/back court pass for an easy layin or a spot up shooting. Angel McCoughtry can create her own shoot & establish contact in the post, she will be a key factor in both offense and defense, we can expect her to really step up more than ever before as this is a back to back trip to the finals for her.

As Minnesota, they have played solid basketball all season long and locked themselves in with home court advantage but this is a playoff, regular's season record may not always really count.

This will a physical game, as both teams will look to take an earlier lead in the series. Prepare for a big surprise here. Atlanta will keep it close to the last sec and might even pull an upset as they had just discovered another shooting weapon in Castro Marques.

Take Atlanta +6.5
Take Under 164.5 Points

lynx really pressure the ball in the 4th well to slow down Atl just in time, the dream would have pulled it off too, had they the needed substitution size

WNBA FINALS - GAME 2
Atlanta at Minnesota

With Erika de Souza's definite return, the Dream will move
Angel McCoughtry back to 3rd spot and will look to return to their conventional style basketball, clearly the small line up was not worked well in game 1 due to a quick transition defense of Minnesota. With O/U open at 162.5, I expected this game's total will be under again, this is a championship game, both teams will play a decent defense especially with Lynx home. Unless the Dream's pressure passing lane defense & force some turn overs for thing to go their way, but I suspect even with de Souza in the line up they will get immediate interior defense but wont get that much of a boost until game 3 back at home.

It's quite clear now that Minnesota had played some consistent basketball, with 19-7 ATS in their last 26 home games eventhough we know too well that regular season record don't always count in post season. But this team have worked well together with key veterans and new coming players, they have adjusted and adapted to their foe's style, for instant in game 1 they knew Atlanta would go with small line up and a thin frontline; they exploited this matchup to their strength by outrebounded Atlanta by 40-28. They had managed to contain Atlanta's offense other than Angel McCoughtry where they would let her have her way with a double digit score without give away too many fouls in the process.

We should see a typical avg 40 - 41% FG, a physical game with deflections and difficult look at the basket defense by both teams. Atlanta will try it in the lane and take it to the free threw line to decide this game. I think we should go with the obvious, lynx to protect home court with a simple game plan; adjust their defense to Atlanta's playing style on the day. And they are aware that this is a championship caliber team coming in as underdog and one should never under estimate their previous experience trip to the finals.

Prediction: 84 71 lynx

Take Minnesota -5.5
Take Under 162.5 Points

WNBA FINALS - GAME 3
Atlanta v Minnesota
The Dream is back at home with 2 games down, they would have won one on the road, have they manage to
close out in the 4th. Angel McCoughtry will lead the charge and it wont be a another sweep series 2 year in the row, at least not yet. It will be game 4 coming up.

Take Atlanta -4.5

add projected score: Atlanta 88-80

Take over 165.5 points

NHL
Rangers at LA Kings
a home away from home game for the Rangers actually, their goalie Henrik Lundqvis is a Swedish native, however, the Kings had acquired some good pieces off season, started with Drew Doughty.

Take LA to win

Rangers vs Ducks
We're still at Stockholm where the Rangers should have a home court away from home via
Henrik Lundqvist. This game is more a Rangers Swed vs Finnish Ducks; the rangers will have upper hand this time as they will regroup from last narrow lost to LA in OT.

Take NY Rangers to win

Senators at Maple Leafs
Toronto's tradition is a strong start against fellow Canadian then lost to the American teams come to town at season end. Ottawa will find it hard to hit the net here.

Take Under 5.5 Goals

Red Wings at Avalanche
B2b game for Detroit, a team to excel their high power offense against a bottom rank defense Colorado = alcohol & firearm special.

Take Over 5.5 Goals

Penguins at Flames
Pittsburgh venturing in ice hockey's heartland, even without crosby they're still a dangerous team for now, till hit a due losing streak otherwise.

Take Pittsburgh to win

My god Dallas were pathetic last night,How the hell did Chicago lose that game FML

Anyway tonight I like Colorado,Even though I may be biased,Colorado is a different team this year but it all depends if they come out rusty or buzzin.

If they come out hard no doubt they will sink Detroit tonight,Good odds on Colorado at just over 2/1 at home

GL Tonight!

I think that's worth betting too. Avs has a young and talented team and with that kind of odds at least I'm going to bet them.

^ Good shout,It all depends how the Av's come out tonight.

If they start organised confident and lay the hits early and bully Detroit they will win.

With it being Forsberg jersey retirement that should spark some emotion to start the season off with a bang.
