the line is vacillating between +2 and +3 on bovada. i booked it at +3.

Man the lines in this sport are unbelievably sharp. I built some model based on the ESPN real plus minus ratings. I actually didn't use it for the game line, I was using it to handicap quarter betting to see if some teams should be faded in a given quarter based on stars being out or backups really sucking, also the jump ball was included, etc. This was a waste of time as there was at most 1 game every two days where a given quarter differed by more than 1 point from the line you'd get just taking the expected spread for each quarter based on the game spread and you need like a half point difference to break even at -110.

What I couldn't believe was that game line as found by the sum of the four quarters never differed by more than a point, maybe 1.5 points from my rating unless I had the wrong rotation set up due to an injury. I mean I'm sure there are some serious basketball handicappers out there that think RPM is a joke and have their own thing that's better, but it shouldn't be so easy to replicate the closing line in any sport.

Why did you think they were going to play defense?

You'd think the staff would be encouraged to tell the players to put on a show AND make it a decent game. Plus last year the total was like 240 and its only 40 min game. Guess when it seems too good than you missed something.
