Ty Lawson will not play Wednesday due to his ankle injury.

yeah 10 pts seems like a lot but i just can't bring myself bet against the heat at home here when they've started straight up crushing teams (like they have always been supposed to when healthy) and now have a hyped up game where they should be highly motivated to show linsanity what's up. i'm hoping for a close game but can easily envision a heat blowout

I'm thinking that with the new format, the players might take it a bit more seriously. They're on an actual team now, and not just thrown in with their fellow rookies and sophomores. I'm hoping that each of the teams play a couple more possessions of defense.

I was also thinking the new format would lend itself to more defense being played....especially with older former star nba players drafting and coaching the teams and playing for bragging rights....I've been looking around for others that have the same opinion.

Also, I took a look at the "simple rating" on 82games.com, expecting to find an advantage in the total team +- team statistic when I add up the Shaq players vs Charles players and the Charles players actually have a higher total simple rating. This is a simple stat, hence the name, however it measures their production vs their counterpart on the court. I do really like Rubio and Lin to setup their teammates quite nicely in this format though.
