This must be the quickest main card in UFC history.

Joocy Reem had more muscles, therefore a thicker neck which prob helped him absorb shots quite a bit (not that it was ever great, but he did survive the Spong assault). Now since he's leaner and off the juice his chin is back to his old lhw self.

Man like I said, wish I had the wherewithal to drag out some of those posts and see if people wanna eat their crow. Been telling people for YEARS this dude is a fraud. People tried bringing up kickboxing like that means **** when you can't take a punch in four-ounce gloves. Dude tapped to strikes against Arona. Need look no further.

Whatever happened to Arona... Surprised the UFC never gave him a shot when they took over Pride. He had some great fights and beat Vanderlei in his prime and he could make 170 in this era of MMA.

He had exorbitant financial demands

Now the game has prbly passed him by but he's still only 36

This is what he had to say;

Quote:
"When Pride was over I didn't negotiate with the UFC," Arona told MMAFighting.com in Itacoatiara, a beautiful beach in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro. "I wanted to take some time off. I was fighting five times a year and needed some rest. When I decided to return, I injured my knee and everything has changed.

"I competed professionally since I was 15, and when I was 30 I needed to stop," he continued. "Pride was over and I decided to stop and look to the MMA market, to see where I'd fit. I fought again two years later, at Bitetti Combat, but I torn the ACL in the first round. I fought two more rounds, so it took me almost two years to heal.

"When I decided to fight again, I started to train with my friend Paulo Filho, but I injured my other knee," he said. "I've tore the ligaments of my other knee and I will have to go on surgery again. I will do the surgery by the end of the year, so I will need to take some time off to be at 100 percent again. That's the reason I'm not fighting yet. I have to heal everything to return."

I heard about his demands from Breen or somewhere a while back

Mousasi down to +161 now... Knew I should have bet him 4 days ago.

I think he's going to win via decision out classing Souza at range.

If they make Rothwell/Browne or Rothwell/Bigfoot or something that's probably not going to go well for him.

Rothwell vs Hunt/Nelson winner maybe?

Wonder if Overeem gets cut... I guess he'll probably get one more fight because he's a big name and if he wins then he can stay and if he gets KO'd again he builds up another prospect

Mitrione should be calling him out because it's winnable and Reem is a big name even if Reem is coming off a loss

I got him at +253, so because i beat the closing line by 88 points he's going to lose.

Jacare via Mousasi gets random leg injury. Anyone want to give me 500-1 on it?

Come on Mousasi, give me a win on this card that isn't a meaningless prelim

Overeem is at like 400k to show? Or something sick like that.

Just cut him.

Reem should retire . He's more talented than almost everyone in the division , clearly doesn't matter though.

Usually it's winners fight winners and losers losers except rare situations

This may be one of those rare situations but I think they prbly cut him

Honestly he's enough of a draw to warrant keeping him even if he has no chin. Despite his awful chin he can still beat anyone with his offense in theory (I think he's in the top 4-5 most likely to beat Cain just on the off chance he finishes him in the first 15 seconds) and watching him get KO'd is entertaining and gives a 'name' win to UFC HWs

I think Mousasi is def. going to take this despite losing r1. 3rd or 4th rd TKO.

how are you guys all so high on mousasi?

jacare is way better everywhere.

Mousasi is borderline top 10 of the division

How good is Jacare? Man.

High on Mousasi? I said straight up I wanted to bet Jacare when this was announced, I just think he was overpriced -270 but looks like the line was about right.

Regarding the Iaquinta o/u, 5d live chat sez:

"Joe: Sorry, the department in charge told me the bet is correctly graded as the clock was 11 seconds over the mark."

Went on to say that they grade all MMA o/u based on the official stoppage time recorded by the UFC, regardless of whether that time jives with the real time TV clock.

gonna be a sub this round.

Yeah Chris I saw some books graded it as a win.

Mousasi **** cardio is back. Jacare way fresher.

Should have arbed out for profit, again

You'd think beating closing prices by 80+ pts would matter, but nope

Evidently Jacare gets to be Weidman's next victim after Belfort. Good for him.

Awful card for me obviously, stuck a bunch of units, something like 15u possibly slightly more
