Every fight has been tailormade for him since he got to the UFC. Even Travis Browne, which was the most difficult fight for him, should have been a relatively easy walk in the park for him if he employed the correct gameplan and didn't get ahead of himself.

The Reem that dominated Mir is going to do the same thing to Rothwell, he just has to be careful not to blow his cardio if he hurts Rothwell as Rothwell is a durable fighter.

Overeem will destroy Rothwell, I would be surprised to see Rothwell land any effective offense at all unless Overeem gasses.

I actually want to see Overeem vs Cain even though the most likely outcome is Cain r1 TKO (GnP) Overeem is one of the most likely guys to be able to finish him if he can land a big shot early

Quite like Miller at +200 or better

Not as sure as everyone else that Johnson destroys Nog, he should win if the Davis fight wasn't an aberration but remember he's coming off a close decision with Arlovski as well who has hardly impressed lately and Lil'Nog is nowhere near as washed up as Big Nog. I'd take Johnson at -150 but i'll take Lil'Nog at +300 or better. The layoff is a worry but he is technically coming off a win over Rashad in a fight where the losers were the fans

I really like Miller here +200 seems like a steal.

Barboza was embarrassing cerrone prior to the flash knockdown (I'd say Barboza would win that fight 3/4 times) and Miller is legit.

I expect the UFC to give her a gimme fight against a striker before the inevitable title shot unless they choose not to risk the money fight and give her a title shot straight up

Not sure which is the better fight to make with Ronda being out a few months, Zingano if she beats Nunes or Holm straight up

Regardless I expect Ronda to take either woman down and finish her within the round

How the hell was Browne tailor made? Big, fast, athletic and hits hard? Also has a chin?

Rothwell is a zombie, Overeem is gonna style on him he should be -350 AT LEAST here.

The idea of a boxer beating Rousey is laughable.

Just give holm a fight like Pennington. Very winnable fight vs a fighter that fans already know.

Also Dodson out until 2015. Who does MM fight next?

What do you guys think the Brando vs McGregor line will open at?

Been a while since a fighter has had this much hype around him. Sort of like Anderson when he first joined the ufc. However Brando is very live here in my opinion.

I lean McGregor at evens, have soured on Brandao a bit as a prospect although I do think he's top 15, McGregor has looked great so far - he might be in trouble if Brandao can take him down or land a wild punch but he hasn't been in trouble so far in the UFC and Holloway is no joke

I'd say McGregor -150 Brandao +125 opener maybe?

I'd say Zach Makovsky is the next challenger for MM if he beats Jussier in his next fight - if not then Pickett if he beats McCall I guess. Pickett didn't look good against Seery which is why i'd go Makovsky first despite Pickett's win over MM at BW

If Makovsky and Pickett both lose then I guess it's Jussier or maybe the winner of Cariaso/Horiguchi (the latter could headline in Japan maybe?)

Makovsky or Pickett make the most sense though, especially if either of them win impressively in their next fight

On another note i'm very excited for Cruz/Mizugaki, either Mizugaki completes his redemption from mid level fighter to legit #1 contender or... the greatest BW Champion of all time who never lost his title solidifies his #1 contendership and we get arguably the highest level BW fight of all time between Cruz and the Dillashaw/Barao winner

I'm kinda surprised they didn't make his return fight the Cruz/Faber 3 rubber match since it auto-sells although the problem is if Faber wins somehow then he's the #1 contender again despite 2 losses to Barao and being best friends with Dillashaw (although I guess you could just give Assuncao a keep busy fight and keep him as a backup option for the next title shot if Faber wins) but Cruz/Mizugaki is my second pick because it's low-ish risk for Cruz if he's still in his prime and is win-win in that if Mizugaki wins he's a marketable legit contender on a big winning streak with a win over the former champ

Mizugaki has no chance against anything resembling the old Cruz.

McGregor will be like -250 against Brandao. Agreed that Brandao is live.

McGregor line is out for ages, 250-300~, Brandao +300 on betvictor, unibet and 888

Depends what kind of Brandao we get, if we get the one that faced Poirer, who gasses after 2 min's, McGregor will make easy work of him.

Well he missed weight by about 7lbs that fight . Don't think he will ever gas that bad under normal circumstances

I think Brandao is the future Melvin Guillard of UFC. Even if he shows up trained, he will have to pace himself and will lose to fighters that are at least as athletic as him but are able to keep up a higher pace.

There's a reason McGregor is getting this fight. They don't want him to lose.

Tibau at -150 vs Healy seems like a decent spot. Healy has looked awful his last few outings. They are both on the decline, it seems like it has hit Healy harder. I give Tibau rd 1 in his fight with Johnson before getting koed in rd2. Just dont see Healy finding a win that often.

Tibau has let me down too many times i'm almost leaning Healy there he was great vs Miller but has been awful since, Tibau would be fine if he just LnP'd but he boxes with guys who can outstrike him for no reason and is so inactive

Liking Matt Brown at +269 vs Robbie Lawler, if he can avoid being finished with body kicks or a big shot early I think he has a great chance to win rounds 3/4/5 or get a late TKO

Ross Pearson vs Abel Trujillo announced

Hoping to get Pearson +100 here, Trujillo has power but Pearson has the better technical striking imo. Would love to see Pearson school this woman-beating clown

Would take Trujillo at +125 or better, and except to get it.

He has power, Ross's striking is very overrated, and his wrestling should really shine here.
MMA Thread Quote

Wait, Trujillo's wrestling should shine? The same guy that got taken down 21 times in a single fight or whatever it was by Khabib and thrown around like a 4 year old wrestling his dad?

It's not like Pearson's TDD is garbage either. Varner was boxing Trujillo up and Pearson arguably outstruck Barboza in their fight and definitely outstruck Sanchez among others.

I hope the line opens at -110 each side or whatever, it could be anything from Pearson -200 to Pearson +150 imo

Khabib also took RDA down with ease, and took Healy down multiple times. Khabib has shown to be in another level in that department. Props to Trujillo for getting up 21 times lol. He has also shown solid wrestling in previous fights.

Pearson has never fought anyone in his entire career with good wrestling, outside of the terrible Ryan couture.

Also Pearson was getting outstruck by miller, he is no world beater on the feet either.
