I recall seeing one fight, but can't remember, will have to watch some fights. Maias standup definitiely looks a lot better than when he first started, but against Munoz, he went allin pretty much on the first round and tired himself out, he won the round, but came back drained in round 2 and 3.
This is even a better matchup for Sonnen tbh, pillowfist bisping(even if he has better technical striking than Sonnen) won't have anything in the arsenal and if there's one thing that he's bad at, it's being pressured and on top of that, Wandi took Bisping down, should present 0 problem for Sonnen.

Re: MMA Thread
Line on Maia got smashed, he's +175 now. Saw him earlier today at +225. That didn't feel right.
How's Weidman's defensive jiu jitsu?

Re: MMA Thread
I so want Melvin to win because I think he has a very interesting style and a lot bigger chance to dethrone Edgar(or Bendo if he wins) than Miller and quite frankly, I hate the Miller brothers fighting style. But, If there's a type of fighter to beat Melvin even when he's on his best, it's Miller type of fighter, small, hardworking grappler/grinder with decent chin and better cardio.

Re: MMA Thread
Weidman is an ELITE prospect. I can't stress this enough. Future champion material potentially.
He has high level grappling ability, that's his biggest strength. He was an All-American wrestler at Hofstra and then despite being green in the submission grappling department, he had a good showing at an ADCC. Also, he trains under Matt Serra.
I don't really understand why he's a huge favorite over Maia...Maia should be better on the feet and on the ground. Weidman is a far superior athlete though. And he showcased some real power in his strikes when he KO'd fellow top prospect Uriah Hall in his last match before the UFC came calling.

Re: MMA Thread
Man I would think that rashad would be at least at minus 200, seems like a good time to pick him up.

Tons on Barry?! You got balls lol. Too hard to predict what's gonna happen there, though I expect someone to get finished.
