I certainly think all fighters who go up against Jones should be using this tactic and heel strikes to the calf/ankle/back of knee when on their back.

Jones is constantly injured while in dominating fights. I don't know if it's the weight cut or him being to tall/skinny for the division but he's had hand and ankle injuries after most fights. He seems brittle.

Last really effective foot stomps UFC 7 by Ruas, they show them a bit in this highlight. Forgot how fun some of those fights were to watch

Weigh-in thoughts

Only real stand out was Evans looking in best shape of his career, all made weight which was nice.

I've taken Evans 1U and Shields 1U

Will add 1U Shields/Woodley O2.5 when site has it up

Okay, that's the first time I've even seen someone tap out standing, with the opponent several feet away. Legit though.

Cobb had to tap on his own chest.

Submission (leg kick)

i wonder if dana will tweet a smiley face like when werdum tapped fedor.

lol, fitch gets put to sleep in 0:41 in a non-title fight and then asks for an immediate rematch for the belt.

in other news, Jacob Volkmann def. Lyle Beerbohm 30-27 on all cards.

lol...congrats Burkman, you just won some kind of touch computer phone...or something.

Adding 1.4u on Jimmo/Igor goes the distance -140.

Yeah, he got rocked on the feet first. Burkman jumped on him and quickly ended up with a standing guillotine in the center of cage. Instead of defending the choke, Fitch was going to try to slam him. But the choke was super deep. Burkman took it to the ground and Fitch went out quickly.

Burkman released the choke and gently laid Fitch on his back unconscious before the ref ever got involved.

Glad Burkman stopped. Mazzagatti is a clueless idiot who will hurt someone and continue to ruin guys legacies. Much respect Josh

Sick finish and how he turns him over and steps up. Ldo, referee is an idiot, he should be checking on Fitch to see if he's hanging in there considering it was deep. Easily top 3 of the best walkaway after a finish moves. Also nice it came against Fitch, who was always bragging about not being finishable to chokes anymore.

Terrible refereeing. Could cause serious damage if Burkman doesn't realise he's out.

Had 2u on Gaethje as my only play for the card.

Tomorrow I have a heap of units in play, around 8u on Barry, around 5u on Rashad, 7.5u or so on Shields, 1u on Barry/Jordan u1.5, 4u on Pierson, 2u Nelson, 1u Stout and 1u Jabouin if I recall them all correctly. Close to 30u in play on the card, hopefully at least 2/4 of Barry, Shields, Pierson and Rashad win, i'm expecting to get 3 more often than 1.

Always psyched to see Pat Barry fight, if he's fixed his mental flakiness as he seemed to against Del Rosario and horrible gameplanning of the past he should get through Jordan easily, I got the last 3 units on at -108 which seemed nice, first few at -120ish. Rashad I have -108, Pierson I got -133 I think, Shields I got the first half at +163 and the rest at +171. Pretty sick he keeps climbing, I hope there isn't something we're all missing, Woodley while decent is no Ellenberger and he got lit up by Nate pretty bad in Strikeforce in a competitive fight and Shields at 185 has always looked better than Shields at 170, his gas tank won't fade as much at 185 etc and as long as he dodges the KO punch I really think he has an advantage on the ground. Pierson I feel has faced better guys and should win a competitive fight by being more well rounded etc.

Jake Shields (171) vs. Tyron Woodley (171) <-- Not sure if I misread that, but it's at WW tho?

Everyone can have a rough fight, still doesn't make sense in terms of ranking to cut Fitch. Does in business terms though.

Not many bets on this card,

2u on Miocic at +235. Think he might be able to outwork Nelson and maybe take him down. I hope he employs the same gameplan as Werdum and Mir did. I don't think Miocic chin is that bad, though his standup defensively is pretty shaky, tends to get hit a lot. Also, Nelson has been served favorable matchups in terms of guys which bad chins and I don't think Miocic chin is as bad as Hermans, Schaub or Kongo's.

0.5u on Shields at +173. Not stoked about this bet as I'm afraid that Tyrone is going to grind out a decision or TKO/KO Shield, but I guess if it goes to the ground Shields might catch Tyrone + Shields standup, while bad, has improved and he might be able to jab away a victory, especially if Tyrone gets too excited in which Shield can take advantage of that and get a takedown.

2u on Jimmo at -255. No real reason other than I was impressed by Jimmos performance last fights(even though he lost to te tuna) and I think Pokjrajac isn't all that. Jimmo seems to have a good heart so Pokrajac wont be able to stop him I think, and I think Jimmo will grind out a victory or TKO Pokrajac.

3u on Maguire at -251. Think Maguire is a really talented fighter and durable fighter. Not heard so much about Clarke, but his 2 last fights are losses to unknown names so don't think he'll be able to hang with Maguire, especially since Maguire is a ground guy and the other guy has some wins with submissions. Besides, Maguire is dropping down to LW, so he should not be overpowered or anything like that as he was at welterweight.

Also have 4u on Barry since before at -120 I think.

1u Barry, 1u Evans, 0.5u on Shields Decision and 0.5u on Miocic decision. That's it for me.
