This will be it for me, I'm traveling for work and probably won't get to watch the card.
+4.69u for the card, +23.89u YTD on posted picks.

lol yeah it's kinda nice not having a bunch of +300 prop bets in there for a change, can't remember the last time I swept a card. Up almost 24 units but with a losing record for the year :P

Shipped my 8 fight accumulator at 9.5/1 with the only not obvious decision being to not bet on cavalcante/thiago silva.

Fun card otherwise though

Thiago Silva looked much better than he ever has. Kind of weird given how he looked at the weighins.
Probably more due to Feijao gassing than anything else though.

Bad card for me obviously as i only had Feijao.

Feijao was tearing him up until mid through the round when he gassed, how the **** do you gas in the first round, it's not like it was that crazy of a tempo. Maybe he's just used to finishing people in the first round and doesn't do cardio or smth, idk.

haha especially considering the fact that he really looked relaxed and had quite nice reflexes/head movement... maybe he thought he can just do the spider dance at the cage and evade all punches lol...

the end was really weird indeed ^^

It was his first fight after being popped for steroids and also UFC jitters could have played a part.

I read on another forum someone saying silvas body shots may have injured him but not sure I saw anything that stood out enough to slow him to that extent.

if anything Feijao hit Silva with much harder bodyshots.
Just a matter of conditioning probably. Or the lactic acidosis monster that Carwin suffered from vs. Brock (as he told us it was NOT him gassing)

Just re-watched,

Felijao looks very loose and smooth until a body kick and then punch around one minute in, from that point his movement becomes much slower. http://www.mma-core.com/videos/fight...TV_10/10053748

Could just be gassing, but 60-90 seconds should be easy for any fighter....

Carwin had a whole round of dropping bombs and I wasn't shocked he shut down, but this fight just looked strange.

The whole thing was very odd, it didn't seem like it was body shots though.. He was still walking upright and throwing a shot here and there with full power.

The final tally was 8 submissions, beating the previous record of 6 which had been done three other times.

Also, all 12 fights were won by Brazilians. Non-Brazilians went I think 0-7.

I thought the same thing.

And he won two $50K bonuses, which he could potentially lose. Also the UFC would surely cut him if he fails for the third time in 2.5 years.

Every time his phone rings for the next few days, it will probably scare the **** out of him.

haha, though I think he may be off them considering how he looked at the weighins? Wouldn't be surprised if Nogs get that call though.

Doesn't make alot of sense considering Mir is coming off of 2 losses, but I'd like to see Mir vs Werdum.

Could be a fun fight but he has Barnett booked at the moment

Silva looked like **** physically. Doubt he'll test positive for anything other than marijuana possibly.

Not sure I've seen someone gas in three minutes. Feijao should probably hang em up if that's how he's gonna train.

Werdum/Cain and Overeem/JDS for #1 contender please assuming Overeem beats Browne, it's too soon for the rubber match and once he knocks out Reem it'll add more intrigue plus Werdum/Cain is a fight I want to see and no one wants Werdum/Overeem 2 and JDS/Cain 3 as much as the 2 fresh matchups imo

I agree but I am pretty sure they are planning Cain/JDS next.

P.S. Werdum/Overeem 2 already happened. It would have to be "3".

Not when number 2 was one of history's worst fights.

I'm in love with ufc 161.

-Shields, and Shields/Woodly u2.5r at + money is a steal
- barry ITD is currently +money, and the u1.5r is only -130
- somehow Rosi sexton is +300..which is just insane, unless i missing something hhere
-Nelson ITD around -150, should be value here, as i never see nelson winning the decision.
-Jimmo should be around -350, but is only -260. (probz cause of his recent loss, where he almost finished than gassed)
-then if we have a motivated rashad -125 seems pretty damn great

also still have Yeves Jabouin, Sean Pierson, and sam stout lines to open up!

Shields woodley u2.5 is a bad bet in my eyes, they are two durable lay and pray fighters both really needing the win (so won't take the risks). I'll be taking the O2.5 in that fight for 2U

Other bets all look good

typed it wrong, have my money on o2.5.. same reasons as you just mentioned \

actually besides shields winning, that will be my biggest bet

EDIT: wow! just realized how mucht hat bet changed.. i grabbed it at +125 when Chris M first mentioned it... didn't realize it was - money now. must've typed it wrong last night, cause i was just looking at lines making sure they stayed around same from when i bet them, and saw the +155 around that line.
