Baroni just broke his ankle in OneFC guessing that'll be his last fight. Shame as he's put on some great performances in the past

Cage warriors 55 looks pretty interesting. I just placed bets on

Che mills -140
Mirkael silander -246
Paul Redmond -210

Think Paul/mirk should both run through there opponents with relative ease.

Mills missed weight which scares me a bit, but fight getting put to 3rounds is an advantage for him I think. Also mills is going to be looking to prove himself after his cut from ufc, and what better way than defeating cage warriors champ.

You should be good on Mills, just a real shame he's missed weight and his title shot!

Yeah. if you beat the champ in a non-title fight, do they just do an immediate rematch for the title?

yewwwww dat ankle. I dunno how anyone could be a fan of Baroni though lol that guy is the worst.

Swoop I'm already down here. Most of my work days are really, really long but I'll ship you my number and maybe we can shoot the **** on an off day.

Added 2u on Siver at +195 - i'd cap it more like +125, Swanson has more power but Siver is a better technical striker imo, plus i'm a fan and will be there live for the sweat.

@just_mo PM sent, i get in on the 6th

Placing 1u on Sarafian/Mendez under 2.5r +105.

Anyone catch Sarafian at the opener of -260 or whatev?

Is Mendez terrible or something? I was really disappointed in Sarafian against Dollaway although he is way better than that fight suggests i'd guess. He should go to WW though.

I like Ronny Markes and Rony Jason to win their fights pretty easily, Erick Silva too.

If Mizoto Hirota is a dog he could be a bet against Damm too, even with the don't bet against Brazilians in Brazil rule

I will probz beg saffarian as well. He should have beaten C.B if not for poor fight IQ if I remember correctly, and after derailing his own hype train I'm sure he will be motivated for this fight.

^ that's garbage, I was ready to throw huge amounts on shogun at -160.. Was just waiting until next week so didn't have all my money locked up in one area... I'm really pissed about that one.

I wasn't able to find a ton of info on Mendez, but what's out there isn't that impressive. His best win is a split decision on a Strikeforce undercard against Fernando Gonzalez, whom I'd never heard of before but seems to be a 20-10 journeyman. Here's Mendez's TUF audition tape from 2010:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-ksJRZV4m4

Most of the fight footage is Mendez looking gassed showing some sloppy kickboxing against a human punching bag....I think the opponent is Lee Chapman, who's got a 5-8 record.

So yeah, I think -400ish is accurate for Sarafian, and generally speaking really lopsided fights are more likely to end via finish when the favorite tends to finish fights. Add in with this the fight is in Brazil, and I like the under at plus anything.

It makes some sense. He would be one of the few that shouldn't have trouble making weight on such short notice. It's probably either Chael or another Ilir Latifi type or "no fight".

Or Wanderlei?

Where is the "Dean of Mean" when you need him?

Chael used to grate on me but he really is always up for a fight. I think he'll beat Shogun unless Roach has made big changes.

Glover to send Shogun off into retirement I guess. The Te Huna fight made me a believer that he's top 5, I still wasn't convinced after Rampage.

Blessing in disguise for Lil'Nog imo, I don't think he matches up well with Shogun and a loss would have derailed him badly

Chael vs Shogun is a great idea, lots of buys, and both guys could really use the big win, Chael vs Brazil rivalry, winnable for both guys and winner is back on track and loser drops from contender status, winner gets a top 5 guy/main event slot in their next fight (Machida maybe since both guys have a backstory with him if Gustafsson gets the next shot?)
