Ended the event at +12.5 units including the multi-event parlay that hit

I also now have a 7-fight parlay (0.05u to win 1.2u) that only needs Erick Silva to hit, completed 6 of the 7 legs this card.

If Holloway didn't get robbed i'd have ended up nearly +18u, although on the other hand Pyle could have easily lost the decision too.

Big Foot is one of the luckiest fighters, srsly. He first beats Browne by luck bc Browne gets injured, then he beats Overeem by sheer punchers chance and bc Overeem is an idiot. Luckily, he's not going to get another title shot vs Cain, I mean, even if he wins 10 fights in a row, how are they possibly going to promote that fight? Though, nothing against him personally, he seems to be a lovely person.

Was really happy with my picks today, sadly only got a 2.1u profit. Smith and Maynard cost me a bunch, and besides Cain/JDS/nurm all my other bets worth anything lost.

I agree, Bigfoot beyond lucky to even be fighting for a title, bet he lucked his way into a pretty amazing payday as well.

I tracked one of the judges who gave bermudez the decision, and it seems this is the same guy who judged Holloway Garcia and he gave that one to Garcia as well! Seems this dude has smth against hawaiians.

Bigfoot also needed noone else available for the fight. If Werdum hadn't signed to fight Nogueira then Bigfoot has to win at least one more fight.

Yeah the only two HWs (not incl cormier since hes friends with cain) who have a chance imo are Werdum and JDS, and i'd imagine Cain will use defensive wrestling and be a decent fav striking vs Werdum, and Cain/JDS as we've seen they're both capable of winning, depends whether JDS can land a big shot before Cain grinds him down or not.

What an awesome night, 2nd best betting card ever for me.
JDS v Hunt was way closer than I thought it'd be. Really thought JDS was gonna make Hunt look like an amateur. I've got a new found respect for Hunt, amazing chin and amazing heart.

Wonderboy might be a good fade next time around.
Holloway will most likely be a bet next time as well.

Werdums striking is worse than Bigfoots imo, or at best on the same level.

I give Cain a huge edge vs. Werdum. He doesn't have that crippling power in his hands either.

And what do we make of Werdum's BJJ? That is def something to think about for Cain u know..

Werdum much much more dangerous for Cain. How can u even compare Werdum to Bigfoot? Bigfoot, no matter how trained an athlete he may be, basically only had a puncher's chance vs Cain. Add to that the fact that he is real slow and u can see what I'm getting at. Werdum is nothing like Bigfoot and is much more of a danger for Cain however much that may be. Can't believe I'm writing all this as its quite obvious. And Werdum might not have BF's power but his striking is def better than BF's.

We're yet to see what Cain's submission defense is like if I'm not mistaken. No reason to assume it would be a piece of cake for him to handle Werdum's BJJ threat.

Werdum can't get cain down though. And if Cain is smart, He'll just avoid the ground, or play it safe gsp top control style.

Werdum has a punchers chance, but that is it pretty much.

As interested in the Cain JDS trilogy I am, I like both of the guys and I'll feel sorry for whoever loses. Both are humble and seem to be really nice individuals.

Also, Hunt vs Big Foot doesn't seem off? Both coming of losses at the same time, so they could fight in 3-4 months from now. Also rank wise, they're top 10 both of them.

The reason I originally was going to reply was because I read it as you saying 2nd best card ever which I was going to disagree but agree on an awesome night. Also agree on your take on the Dos Santos/Hunt fight.

Ended up +u0.61 on the night, disappointed about the Maynard fight which would of given me plenty of profit. Maynard seemed to have had this fire in him for so long but didn't even show up last night :/

How strong did Cerrone look in the first round with that high takedown?

Think werdum/Cain being like silva/Mia (with a finish) werdum will be useless unless he can get Cain down... And i don't see that happening.

That is ridiculous! For such a big guy Dos Santos pulled that off so well, plus it was super devastating.

Dos Santos is so cute in his post fight interviews aswell, he is a true definition of a Gentle Giant.

Cain will def end up taking Werdum down at some point. And u can never count out Werdum on the ground. I mean I'm not saying Werdum is gonna be some great threat or anything but I do think he's got more of a chance than Bigfoot against Cain.

JDS got FOTN so its aight. Grant KO was brutal too and he def needs the money more than JDS does. I don't mind money getting distributed more evenly.

Probably wouldn't look too deep into the numbers and fight bonuses. Pretty sure there's a ton that goes on behind the scenes and many get taken care of nicely. UFC does a good job paying alot of their fighters extra $ that isn't announced to the public. As a fighter, probably smart to be on their good side and be a yes company man.

Maldonaldo said he got an extra bonus cheque that was even bigger than his purse after that beating he took vs Glover.

50k doesn't mean that much to JDS nowadays where as for TJ it's probably huge. Plus his real money comes from the piece of the PPV action he gets I figure.

You're welcome man. Actually hit two +700s though they were very small bets of course, that might never happen again in my life. Grant, JDS, and Glover saved the day for me. Still stewing about that horrible ****ing decision against Holloway though. Few things in this world as tilting as correctly picking out value on a big underdog only to have the judges bend you over and **** you.

@kingofcool Granted it was a few years ago but Werdum comfortably outboxed Bigfoot to a decision, I would have to say you are definitely wrong about BF having the superior striking between the two. Werdum also has a way better chin IMO, though the power edge does seem to go to Bigfoot. Werdum's guard is also the best there is amongst heavies, Nelson wanted absolutely nothing to do with it after getting a takedown on him. Definitely an interesting matchup for Cain, and something I would like to see before they give JDS another shot. Basically, agreed with everything Donkabomber said on the matchup.

That said, how can anyone not love JDS? Guy seems to have a heart of gold, great personality, exciting fighting style, finishes almost everyone he beats. Definitely one of the easiest guys to root for I've seen in any sport. Also, Glover's little fanboy moment was pretty cool as well.

Agree with stressed on the monies thing, JDS is sponsored by Nike FFS.

Nurmagomedov fight went basically as expected, I'm still gonna be looking to fade this guy against anyone who can keep it standing as his striking still looks as bad as ever both offensively and defensively. He is definitely a talented grappler, though Trujillo is so bad it's hard to tell how good exactly. Anybody who can make this guy box for 3 rounds is probably going to have a field day.

All in all, one of the most fun cards in awhile even if I did get robbed blind on a big dog for the 2nd straight card. Every main card winner was really impressive and there were some beautiful finishes.
