Further, Warren has simply not demonstrated that he can convincingly beat high level mixed martial artists. Plenty of people thought he lost to Karakhanyan, nobody besides two of the three judges scored the Freire fight for him (I think I had it 29-27 Freire), Joe Soto MAULED him for 5m before he got one-hit quit, and against Galvao once again nobody besides the judges thought he won.
I am definitely going to be on Gustafsson against Nog. I think this is going to be a big breakout performance for the Mauler, think he may even finish Nog. Nog's head movement is nearly nonexistent. That is NOT going to bode well when Gustafsson starts throwing hands at him.
Yeah I was thinking Mills looked tempting too but I don't think I've watched him fight yet so meh. Like Torres too, but again I need to watch McDonald fight some more.
I see no reason Alvarez can't do what Melendez did to Aoki but then again Alvarez is not as physical as Melendez and he got subbed pretty quickly the first time he fought Aoki. Probably will stay away.
Thats a good point on head movement, reach + power of gustaffson will be dangerous. Lil'nog is a much more complete martial artist, who i've gone from underrating to potentially overrating after his last few fights. Maybe ill stay away. Nog has the power to turn out the lights but he'll have to get inside the reach to do it which may be tough. If Lilnog had better wrestling credentials id be very tempted, I def think he can win on the ground but Gustaffson has the edge standing especially if neither of them are fighting particularly aggressively, Gustaffson can jab him from distance until he's hurt
Mills beat Chris Cope very impressively and one sidedly at 138, I havent seen the rest of his fights though and Cope is only borderline UFC level competition. rory mac should wrestle**** him but I feel like he has power and a punchers chance so at +377 to what will likely be +400 thats tempting
On Torres, McDonald has never fought anyone as good as him and won a split against a lower mid tier guy from memory although I havent seen mcdonald fight much, Torres is very tempting
