I didn't see the fight vs Koch, but from what I hear Koch is a very very good fighter and cannot be compared w Rocha.
Thanks! Hate missing 4-5 of the seconds I wanted to see. Yeah have to agree, Koch is much better than Rocha, it was extremely lopsided if you watch it, kind of ugly.

Rocha's small venue, you tube fights I watched didn't show much encouraging for him either. He won one on punching his back I noticed, but the guys was gassed.

Bottom line, numb nuts went for a leg lock leaving his chin exposed - reaching w/ both hands. That's why few guys go for leg locks in MMA

Had the clear advantage standing but Brazilians aren't known for their video study

Michael Johnson was landing w/ his right all day against Brookins but gassed and it went to the ground

Punch defense is underrated. I think people who haven't fought much don't realize that if you strike in the right spot it doesnt take a beast punch to knock out someone. The best fighters don't let themselves get hammered cleanly in the chin.

Forrest against Anderson is the best example of that

Rogan was on air incredulous that that baby shot knocked out a dude known for his chin

Very strange first round by struve, but boy did he surprise me in 2nd round, very well done!

Seems like his striking is becoming more efficient, less loopy and finding his range better, all are difficult to do for tall guys. Being only 23, he has room for improvement and putting more muscle on that frame. Thanks for opening me up to betting him Swoop!

Shoving those winnings as an add on to Ellenberger even at the sick price. Hope he doesn't slip up and get submitted, doubt it though!

Fk me, I hope Sanchez loses, look at him, walking to the cage with a cross like a crusader or smth.

Still don't know wtf he was doing the first round, he wasn't throwing anything at all. I overestimated Hermans chin and underestimated struves power, and basically his huge weigh/height advantage over Herman.

Good call on going the distance. Happy that wasn't a 5 rounder, good sweat the last 1+minute.

That's what I had it scored. 10-9 2 first round to jake and 10-9 to sanchez 3rd round. Would have been very interesting to see 2 more rounds.

Would be some fight. Ellenberger would probably need to improve his conditioning, seemed like he only had a little surge or 2 of power left in his tank at the end to escape, was mostly stuck. Diego was tired to though, the more he swung the less his punches had on them at the end. Excellent free fight though. Loved Ellenbergers hands and how countered in the fight. I think the ref would have needed a escort by the national guard if he stopped it, Jake wasn't doing much but hanging on for a while there. Glad he won!

Ya, may be a reason why Ellenberger never becomes a champ though? He looked pretty tired at the end. Diego looked to be in pretty good shape overall, I'd say Ellenberger was more tired than Diego in r3, but still ya, u saw his punches had less and less power in them at the end.

Man what a show. Really happy with the monies spent going to this, was worth every penny.

@DodgerIrish, I think you are dead on about Albert, that was my read too that he gassed himself with that massive flurry of strikes. Menjivar is a really good talent but mean he just has this penchant for getting himself into insane wars. Great for the fans, but hard to have any confidence betting him as any significant favorite.

Ellenberger looked great until he gassed midway through the third. I was pretty worried there, but luckily he was able to survive. He definitely need to shore up the old cardio before getting in any 5 round battles. On the plus side, he seems to pace himself well.

That Struve Herman fight was just really strange. Herman easily winning first and then just stopped throwing good strikes. Struve for some reason was refusing to throw anything of consequence in the first. Just weird. Struve was much more conscious of protecting his chin tonight.

Overall ended up about evensies on this card betting-wise. Biggest bet was Miocic/Ellenberger parlay and thankfully that came in.
