Well he's not really lined up for anything special other than MMA it would seem, also he's gone away to england to train which should say something and he did take Glover on, a guy a lot of people ducked, he could have as well ducked Glover, take on a less dangerous guy, end on a good note and get more money on his trip outside the UFC having the leverage that he left the UFC with a win against a monster in Glover, whereas if he losses, he's not going to have that extra leverage when negotiating money for other promotions. Rampage doesn't seem to be the guy that just shows up for a paycheck, yeah he's been lazy sometimes, taken fights with injuries etc, unmotivated, but u can count those fights on one hand, Bader, Forrest.
I think he's going to come in here well trained, well conditioned because he has something to prove and probably functions like that, he is fueled by being an underdog so I expect Rampage in one of his best shapes. He also said in the weigh ins that he's the best shape ever, I think if he wasn't in shape and was just coming for the paycheck, he wouldn't have said anything or something along the lines, I'm gona knock you out.
Now, he came in the same in the Jon Jones fight, but Jones is the better striker and more diversified so he lost simply because he was outskilled and when you're outskilled, it doesn't matter if u come in well prepared.
And this might be the same case as the Jones, Rashad fight, where he will simply get out MMA'ed by Glover, who will mix it up a lot more and I think Glover has a better recovery rate than Rampage, I'd say it's like ~30% rampage wins a stand and bang vs Glovers ~70%.
WHat will be interesting is if Rampage has flawless TDD and starts getting the better of Glover in the standup.
