Re: MMA Thread
any thoughts on Carlo Prater vs Silva? Praters odds whispering sweet sweet love in my ears, and i need someone to help me stay away.
fading gonzaga at +110 is also oh so tempting.

Re: MMA Thread
Damn King Mo voiced exactly what I was gonna say. The way I see it, AJ has one round to win this fight most likely.
If you're going to bet Prater, bet on him by Sub since that's his biggest strength and Silva's biggest weakness AFAIK. But Silva should cruise easily.
Got: Omigawa +190, Belfort evensies, Mendes by Dec +400, Gonzaga -145.
Picks for the card: Carvalho Dec, Palhares Sub, Gonzaga Sub, Omigawa Dec, Silva (T)KO, Barboza Dec, Tavares Dec, Pyle Sub, Belfort (T)KO, Aldo Dec.

Re: MMA Thread
I need Oliveira to beat that bum Gonzaga, and AJ to not run out of steam.
Prater victory would be nice too.

Re: MMA Thread
I think vitor AJ is a do not bet, even though if I have a feeling vitor is going to get KO'd for a simple fact, vitors been in the game for 15 years old, he's at the same place as wanderlai and chuch liddell is, they had iron chins in their prime but the older they got, the more punches they took and now I think Vitor may be at the same place. AJ on the other hand has a very decent chin and I think both of them are going to get hit in the head, I just think AJ is going to be able to survive whilst Vitor is not.
Even though I have a bet on AJ, I hope vitor wins bc it's ***** disgraceful to not make weight, like not even close, we're talking about 15 pounds of missed weight.
edit: nvm, seems he hurt his leg and was not able to properly lose weight, think he said to dana like: "U know what happened" and Dana said, yeah I know about your leg.

Re: MMA Thread
At least in the grand scheme of things it should be fairly irrelevant. UFC will pay him the win bonus and book him like it was a win.

Re: MMA Thread
Wow what the **** was that johnson?? How do you miss at 185, still baffles me. This fight looked like he had never fought before.
Edit: Also what the **** was with those stand ups too?

Re: MMA Thread
Like I said...Belfort all day.
Johnson is an overhyped joke.
Dap to Swoop for his 7 unit cleanup. Too easy baby.

Re: MMA Thread
I don't think he is. He just seems to have no discipline or nobody to guide him on how to be a professional. The dude could be awesome but **** he is high variance.
Imo this fight was fixed so no riots would be induced.

Re: MMA Thread
he may be overhyped, but i think an AJ bet is good as long as hes hydrated and won't gas after 2 minutes.
Also it was quite apparent that Miragliotta was influenced by the crowd. Never seen such fast standups.

Oh ya embarrassing reffing by Miragliotta. Simply atrocious.
But none of that had anything to do with Johnson's pathetic standup. The dude is overhyped plain and simple. People thought he would be a legit challenge for GSP once.
