that thread will likely be more help

sounds like you've been limited though and will need to find a new book, there's no point in them offering a market if across the board they cap everything at $15
I have many but stars offered better than market prices on decision and over lines at a high frequency, and a good number of props that were severely mispriced. would recommend their book to anyone who hasn’t been capped (although their lines are even more heavily raked than others so definitely don’t use them as a primary book)

Very disappointing - I got into such a swing on there, even have alerts on my phone when they release lines and spreadsheets to calculate EV of their common props. On the up side I was planning on getting in the YouTube game to go through all the good stuff, and now I can post it without it coming at any cost since I can’t actually bet them anyways. I don’t think the admins want me posting links though so if anyone wants the channel info send me a pm and I’ll give a link when I get thr first video up.

Nevada uses the old rules so if the hand is down then the fighter is grounded. It's a dumb rule. Actually, the knee down is a dumb rule too. They just wanted to get away from the barbaric image of the sport. Meanwhile, around a dozen boxers die every year from injuries sustained in the boxing ring.

Why do they hold so many of these events at the Apex? How does having basically no crowd in a tiny venue benefit the organization more than traveling around and making like a million dollars in gate revenue, plus the buzz when fights come to town?

It's because of Covid. In March of 2020 all sporting events were shut down. Less than two months later the UFC was the first sports organization in the world to come back. In May of 2020, the UFC had 3 events in Jacksonville, Florida with no crowds. However, after that until late April of 2021 the UFC conducted all of its events either at the Apex or in Abu Dhabi (40+ events).

For the past year the UFC has been doing PPVs in other locations, however the logistics and risk of doing these events all over the world on a weekly basis during a global pandemic has been such that it has made more sense for them to do all their fight nights at the Apex. I believe their first fight night outside of the Apex was last month at the O2 arena in London, so they are starting to move some events around again.

Prior to covid, exactly zero UFC events took place at the Apex. It had been primarily used for Contender Series fights.

Apex is getting old, they should get rid of it now that the pandemic is over

really hurts the buzz

The value on Esparza was so ridiculous at start time, anyone else on that train?

+240 at close for what should be a coin flip IMO ridiculous… and I was heavily invested in Esparza even before but when simp money poured in on rose last few minutes on a couple of books and I piled on for what is probably my biggest position on a single fight ever.

Was an excruciating 25 minutes to say the least.

Oliviera selling nearly at par was also silly IMO but i wasn’t nearly as balls deep there. The weight miss was a complete non issue for the fight itself… he thought he made weight weight.

The fight goes line on the Ivanov fight was amazing too. +160 on fight goes to decision… has anyone ever watched an ivanov fight? Only reason he ever has gotten a finish is because the other guy is a total scrub - he has no killer instinct at all and his chin is legendary.

Agree with this. Seems goofy to not let people in and take easy $.

Anyone agree that Holloway vs volksanski seems like a really +ev bet for Holloway. Just browsing lines and they have Holloway at +160. Feel that would be a nice bet to take at the price. Even if volk wins slightly more often than 50%, just feel Holloway won the last fight and got kinda screwed with scoring.

Maybe small value. I agree that Holloway won the last fight, but I favor Volk this time.

WTF at 30-27 in the Molina Zhumagulov fight. I could see either guy getting the nod as the fight was super close but but 30 to 27 is just silly

I noticed on my Bet365 account, they have my Evloev bet ruled as a loss, even though he did win by unanimous decision. I wonder how long it will take them to correct this.

If they haven't fixed it quickly they have a live chat option that can be helpful

Went 3-2 on this card, only got to catch the last few fights though due to the timezone

Seems like every 3rd or 4th split is 29/28 .. 30/27.

Had 0 on fight but never looks good when the winner hears 30 and back peddles to the exit.

Almost Holm's bad.

Is it really that difficult to keep your fist closed and not poke your opponent in the eye ric Flair style

I bet it wouldn't be so difficult if refs across the board started taking a point quickly anytime it happens.

That is always the answer, to heavily penalise fouls to the point where it's a huge disadvantage

As it stands now the first eye poke or groin strike is basically free and only damages the opponent plus you get a rest too etc

A 1 point penalty in a 3 round fight though is just an insane penalty though for something that is an accident more often than not. People are punching each other in the head and trying to defend take downs. Eye pokes aren't ever not going to be present in the sport. Fix the gloves first before we go making rule changes.

O'malley can make it interesting in first round (pretty sure it's 3 rounds fight) He's loose, fast and accurate from the get-go but Yan is monster usually little bit slow in first round. I wonder if Sean can steal first two rounds and not get stopped in a third. odds can get juicy on O'malley when we get closer to fight.
