I ended up not going hard on Madsen fortunately given this looks like a coinflip decision coming up, no idea how to score any of the rounds

Wow that was thoroughly unimpressive by Madsen for the split dec win

It's like he forgot that he's an olympics medallist in wrestling

Not gonna make the mistake of backing him again vs someone good if that's his gameplan

i think madsen deserve the 29-28, but i don't think i was on a good side of the bet at all.

I am not a Guida guy. My .5U on him as a dog was a 100% Madsen fade. So unimpressed with his MMA skillset. If it was someone other than Guida I could have stepped it up more.

thats funny, i'm not a madsen guy, my bet on him was 100% a guida fade at this point.

my point is, both these guys suck now lol

Is it just me or mma betting lines a sharper and there are less profitable bets in the market recently? Also in the bestfightodds site there is ref(not the actual bookie) section they release odds and betting sites adjust accordingly. I wish Pinna had more lines and live mma betting I just hate opening garbage betting sites with 5eur limits.

dont agree that there arent super good spots every week, but i had a pretty long losing period where i had to rework my entire process so i would agree its probably sharpened up a bit

You do have to be more selective than years ago however every week you find numbers that are way way off. You’d expect to see this in some lower level matchups but we are still seeing this in the main events with Gane, Strickland and Font recently. In no other sport can you consistently find great value in their championship games.

It's because styles make fights, and fighter A can be a fav over fighter B who is a fav over fighter C which would be pretty rare in most sports

I actually watched all of the fights on this TUF season, the best MW prospect was probably Tresean Gore who got hurt and is out of the finale, Bryan Battle is a warrior but probably has a limited ceiling. Should probably beat Urbina if he can keep it standing though

Hiestad/Turcios I have less of a feel for

I must say I enjoyed that Team Volk crushed Team Ortega after Brian got all cocky after winning the first 4 fights, won all of 1 more fight over the rest of the entire season

I'd like to fade Al Hassan because he's terrible but idk about the price. I don't think Al Hassan wins again in the UFC though because after a few mins he has no cardio and honestly i'm surprised he has as many first round finishes as he does he's been awful in his last few fights

Kevin Lee is fairly tempting because it's Rodriguez first fight against an actual top 10 fighter, and it's a huge step up for him and Lee is still 28 so the ship hasn't sailed on him getting better etc

Cody if you want to pick 3 to take mine on this card i'll go with Battle, Di Chirico, Lee as my 3 for this card

Lee is coming back from double ACL injuries but D-Rod is a last minute replacement. tough to bet on this fight honestly.

I'm on Giga 1.1u to win 1u , I think he KOs Barboza in the 2nd or 3rd or wins but Barboza is durable so it can go to the judges too.

My Jake Paul bet at -140 is looking great too, will most probably crush the closing line.

I now make it a rule to avoid short notice fights. I simply don’t like them or am nearly as confident in the action. The variance is so great as we don’t know the conditioning of the replacement nor do we know how his/her opponent approaches the switch after preparing for months for the other fighter. Is he/she overconfident or not take the new opponent seriously due to feeling they aren’t prepared? My exception is if there is a stylistic advantage to where the replacement is committing a combat version of suicide. Aside from that I struggle with these matchups so I try and avoid now.

Barboza is nasty at 145 skeptical about title ambitions but sure he can beat very untested Giga.

Thanks but I will probably not be posting for this card, even though I was up in week 1. Most ppl didn't see to care for a competition much.

So when a guy gives up 30% of his purse for missing weight, does it go to the other fighter, or to the promotion?

Also - disappointed that foxbet eliminated all the method of victory props from their offerings on undercard fights. Anyone see that at other books?

If a fighter misses weight he gives up 20-30% of his purse that goes to his opponent.

After RhodyGuy won that first sub and 6 units last week I thought we had the next MMA GOAT.

Nah, I grind week in week out. This was a tough week. Every decision I had to make went the wrong way. Battle & Jacoby Dec or ITD, omitted Alhassan R1 KO & GR3 sub. One of those everything went wrong kind of days. They happen.
