Great by Thug Rose. She really is an awesome fighter

2 time champ, gogo can't wait to see her take on the division again

I think I might be cheering for Usman for the first time in a while in the main; Masvidal is more fun to watch but he's such an ******* I want to see him get wrecked in front of his home crowd

That said as a Wonderboy fan if Masvidal wins, Wonderboy would destroy him again if he gets thru Burns so either way

Kinda surprised Masvidal's steamed in a bunch we'll see I guess

No big bets today just had tiny sweats on Rose and Weidman and went 1-1

7-0. Winner winner chicken dinner.

Dana ain't gonna have enough bonuses to go around for this event.

Usman v Leon in Autumn. Book it

Pretty sure Dana already said Colby is next and Colby was at the event. Maybe Dana will say something in this press conference.

Leon makes no sense. He just eye poked a dude for a no contest in a fight he should have won easily in what was his only fight in nearly 2 years. 2 years ago nobody knew who he was, so not sure how they could sell a PPV with him on it when all he's done in the past 2 years is eye poke a non-contender.

Usman has earned a few months off and in about 3 weeks time Leon will be coming off of a high profile and dominant victory over one of the biggest names in the sport. I do agree it's a hard sell right now but I'd rather see that fight than the Colby rematch, though I admit I'm biased to a fellow Brit. I do think he has the best chance of dethroning Usman though.

I haven't seen the post fight press conference so idk if Dana has said anything there but he did previously say Colby is next but we on how little Dana's word means.

Usman v Leon in Autumn. Book it*

*In three weeks time post UFC262

In the press conference Dana stated multiple times that Colby is fighting for the title next. If Leon is impressive vs Nate then he'll be in the mix, albeit based on timing will likely need another victory.

Don't forget that Usman has already defeated Leon Edwards too, albeit it was in 2015 when they were both young in their careers.

great job hope you walked away with a massive win. the crute fight was surprising to me just cause i thought he was going to try to wrestle from the start. think he had a clear path to victory that he just ignored the whole time.

i wonder who would be the favourite between prime GSP and current usman. should be close. usman definitely harder puncher and gsp the better technical striker. wrestling might cancel and gsp should have an edge in his bjj from top.

current usman ainec. game has moved too far since those days.

Went 1-1 and down -0.3u

Not bad considering how the past few events have gone.

Getting early on this Sandhagen -160 (SIA) bet, between ring rust and a height/reach advantage plus how precise Sandhagen is I might add another bet on him between now and fight night.

my other 2 open bets from this thread:

Beneil Dariush (-155) 1.55u
Charles Oliveira (-115) 1.15u

Yo fellars any leans this week?

Early leans I kind of like KB Bullar +211 I'm kind of just trying to fade this greek guy.

Giga kick to the balls at -155 feels like a steal to me.

I'll try Jotko at +220 seems like hes half decent.

Merab -240 I guess sign me up why not.

Coming off a nice Anthony Smith win where I went all in. If anyone wants to talk fights hit up my dms I'm always in Atlantic City betting fights.

i dont see where jotko beats strickland tbh
MMA Thread Quote

i guess strickland being super jab based and then having to fight a southpaw, it might mess up his game a little bit, but I rly think stricklands biggest weakness is going to be how heavy his weight is on his lead leg and jotko won't be able to get at it as easily in the southpaw/orthodox matchup. then from there i don't see jotko being able to outgrapple sean, so i don't see a super realistic path in for him. just feels like the brad tavares fight again to me, gonna go rewatch that one tho.

Eddie Alvarez is fighting on TNT tonight. Shinya Aoki is fighting on the prelims. Aoki was originally supposed to fight Sage Northcutt but he pulled out.

Also, PFL card tomorrow looks pretty legit.

I just googled and how is Aoki only 37 feels like he was already old when I became an MMA fan in 2009ish

I was half expecting him to be 50 lol

Randy Couture was Aoki's current age when he beat Randleman for the title in the year 2000 lol

Brown luckboxed that one.

I got 0.9u at -125 on Prochazka , I think we saw Reyes holes in his game after his fight vs Jones (which I thought he won)

Have some Merab here pre fight at -250; added on a bit at -400 after two because it's going the distance and while both rounds were competitive I have him clearly up 20-18

I'm down for Merab vs Yan/Sterling winner

He prob needs one more win ranking wise but he's fun and well rounded and so good

Should be 29-28 Merab here; 3 was close too but assume they'll give it to Cody for control even though Merab was landing a lot more from the bottom than Cody did from top

Could be 30-27 idk; I guess some chance of a robbery since the rounds were competitive but Merab clearly won 1-2 so should get it
