No interest in Fedor vs Rampage it would have been a fun fight a decade ago and I guess it's somewhat fair that both guys are super past their prime, i'll watch if i'm not doing something else but not gonna bet it or be excited for it like if it was this fight in 2009

@Dale it varies some people here bet 10 bucks other people are betting 10k and everything in between

I'll be on Conor but not as heavily as I would have been if this fight was taking place at 155 straight after the Alvarez fight

That said he looked fine against Khabib imo and was the first guy to take a round off him unless we count the Tibau fight when Khabib was green and basically neither guy landed anything significant

If Cowboy stands and bangs a fair line is probably Conor -450 or something, and I tend to agree that he'll do that because he's a company guy and knows that's what the just bleed casuals want to see - he's live to head kick Conor or rock and submit him but that's about it much more likely he'll wind up just losing every round or getting knocked out in the first couple rounds

Of course he could lose. It's an MMA fight between two high level fighters. Anything could happen.

Anyways, you're essentially asking the biggest Conor hater here whether Conor might lose. Although maybe even I am a Conor homer as I did pick Conor in each of his fights except for the Khabib fight and the RDA fight, the latter of which never happened.

Regarding this matchup, the line has already moved pretty hard with people betting on McGregor. That will likely continue all the way until the press conference / weigh in. It opened at Conor -160. I still liked Conor a lot at -250 but every day the line is becoming less appealing. He's at like -300 now.

its tomorrow fyi.

i got rampage small but i'm obviously not too confident on it.

Rampage is hard to knockout and hard to take down. They both hit hard but Fedor has a much weaker chin and Rampage has better technical boxing. If Fedor were to use his quickness and athleticism ala what Chael Sonnen did to Rampage then he would have a good shot but that's not how Fedor fights. Fedor throws haymakers and in the process leaves himself wide open for return fire. Frank Mir nearly knocked Fedor out. Fedor came back and knocked Mir out but Mir has a weak chin himself these days.

On a somewhat related note, I'm not sure if you guys remember the Fedor vs Maldanado fight but this highlight video had me cracking up:

Yea I backed Conor at -230, not sure how long the open lasted at -160(?), probs less than a day, but was pretty happy with -230 As was very confident he wouldn’t shorten from there.

Looked bleak for awhile as the line went as low as -210 and stayed there for awhile, but the huge move to -300 yesterday means I’ll almost certainly beat the closing line.

You guys probably didn't think Rampage was going to be in shape for this fight but he made weight. 265lbs right on the button.

Look how cut he is below. I've never seen Rampage in such good shape lol

Apparently the ceremonial weigh in for Fedor vs Rampage is about to start: https://youtu.be/KdaHs51aGAI

Lol Fedor and Rampage both weighed in with T-shirts on, Rampage looks big though.
Stuck £50 on him at 2.25 its probably close to a coinflip if Rampage is not in great shape.

Shame this card isn't great even after Pride, DREAM put on some really good fights should. Probably if Horiguchi didn't get injured he would have headlined against Asakura.

Japan/Rizin ring/Yakuza probably somehow play into Fedor's favor. Rampage has been known to be lazy and not train as hard as he should but surely if he's going to be motivated for any fight it's gotta be a fight vs the former Pride GOAT in Japan.

UFC really needs to sign Michael Venom Page. He's gotta superstar written all over him.

Rampage looks pretty good considering he's 265lb. Let's see if he can move (or if he even needs to).

Loved the Rampage entrance with the Pride Theme and the Pride Lady..albeit she may be a bit past her prime.

Wish Fedor had come out to Enae Volare like he did in PRIDE but I guess he can come out to whatever music he wants.

hes a good striker but he also got blanketed for large portions of their fight by paul daley so he'd be ****ed in the ufc's 170 division. he'd win some fights though.

Absolutely. I'm just thinking there has been a trend for non-champions being stars in the UFC lately. With "UFC Boxing" perhaps there would be the ability for him to compete in both sports. I believe he has 2 or 3 fights left on his contract with Bellator.

I end the year with possibly my worst bet of it. Rampage is horrible.

I guess that fight was likely to be disappointing either way it went but you always hope it would be competitive. It nearly look like a setup but I don't think it was (at least I certainly hope it was all on the up and up). I suppose it went down similar to how, circa 2005, we would have expected it to go down.

Looked like Rampage was seriously scared of Fedor's power. LoL @ rampage throwing the wild desperation haymakers. Even in his old age Fedor has serious athleticism and power. Too bad his chin went and he stopped evolving with the sport. Glad to see him retire on top.

Prego Rampage forgot how to box. Really though it's tough to fight when you have to keep covering up to protect your unborn child.

Last year at the NYE Rizin people accussed Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa of fixing the fight. I'm really not sure what those people really expected from a young 125lb kickboxer in a boxing exhibition vs Floyd.

I had to visit the UG and Sherdog for the first time in forever and as I expected lot of people saying it was a dive (lots of people saying it wasn't too).

Right now I'd say 35% chance it was a dive and 65% chance Rampage simply didn't train at all.

This is why we don't bet on Rampage in 2019 glad I left it alone, saw the finish and he looked fat and unfit

Happy to leave Bellator alone when it's old guy vs old guy fights unless one guy still clearly wants it

Page needs to stop fighting cans, either give him the best Bellator has or let him sign with the UFC it's embarrassing that they're giving him guys he closes at -900 or -1500 against

He's 32 it's not like he's some prospect they need to bring up slowly his prime is over in a few years time

To be fair, Shinsho Anzai was just in the UFC last year. He went 2-2 in the octagon.

Lol rampage went down like I would if fedor hit me, line was moving towards fedor at time of bout, think it was a whale bet backing ramp tbh. But hindsight ofc
