Connor vs. Khahib is the easiest money ever. Either Connor wins by KO in RD1-2 or he losses in the distance to Khahib.

Khahib has consistently ragdolled every opponent he's faced in the UFC. All of whom have a better ground game than Connor. Connor on the ground will offer less defense then any of Khahib's opponents. The prospect of him getting back to his feet as a few others have managed is impossible. He will take a vicious beating and even if he can escape the round he will have nothing left in terms of a punchers chance in the next round as he'll be too exhausted/beaten to land that punch.

The question is does Khahib take the risk in RD1 to engage or does he play a very distant passive strategy and wait for Rd2 before a perceived TD opportunity presents itself. That's why I say Connor could win in r2 as the choice is up to Khahib.

Where this fight effectively ends either way is when Khahib attempts the TD. Either he gets caught on the way in and gets KO'd or he grabs Connor. If he can just clasp his hands around any part of Connor (even not a good body lock) it will more than enough to take Connor down and at that point the fight is over unless there's less than 1 minute in the round. Any more than 1 minute will drain/finish Connor to the point where he has no chance in the fight.

I got Moicano, Mighty Mouse, and Dillashaw tonight.

I got even money on Dillashaw personally betting a friend who really likes Cody. Let's go killashaw! $500 even money is an absolute steal, I think. At first it was a friendly $100, but a bit of trash talking and liquid courage, and the bet is up to $500. I got a bad feeling still, I'm such a fish sports betting.

man ive made it a big ****ing point of emphasis to not bet with friends when were drinking. especially when you sharp them that hard, can lead to bad things when youre sober, esp if 500 is a lot. if its chump change then obv whatever

Yeah you're definitely right. Generally when betting friends I like to keep it a real friendly $20-50 or so. Maybe $100 on a really exciting event.

That being said, this guy is significantly well off, it wouldn't sting him to lose. I don't even think he cares about the money, just how much he can rub it in my face foreeeeever if he wins. Which is a good possibility I think.

We're all watching it at his house cause he has a theater room, and if I win obv beer/food is gonna be on me. We all chip in $10 for the ppv beforehand. This fight is gonna be an ass clencher for me. I get so nervous sports betting, even though I think I have way the best of it.

Just tuning in now for the 3 big fights. Just on TJ, glad to see he's moved in a bit despite his history of steam meaning nothing lol

And yeah while you have the best of it on TJ and gl obv only bet with friends for amounts that don't matter that much to the loser

Moicano is a beast and could be a future champ, I think he's more likely to dethrone Max than anyone else. Technical on the feet and can grapple. Wish the line had been a bit more reasonable here so I could have been on him. Moicano should get a #1 contender fight next

I love Max, but Moicano is so respectful and humble, would be a great champ someday if he can get there. He gets better every fight and should have beaten Ortega and I hope I get to bet him in a rematch there someday, the only guy I think he's a dog to in the division is Max, and Aldo would be close. He's just a great technical striker who is also an elite grappler.

Cejudo's corner after r3 'you need to box him' when his main success is wrestling and the decision's not gone yet as Cejudo won at least a round

What? Baffling.
MMA Thread Quote

lol, Cejudo does just that, loses 3 minutes of the round then lands a takedown and dominated the last 2m

His corner should be screaming YOU TAKE HIM DOWN YOU CAN WIN THE FIGHT at him if they think he won r4 here, it's close as he lost a few minutes of the round but is going to spend the last 2m on top control, and it's 2-2 if he got this round

Cejudo is really, really good. MM is more well rounded, but it probably is 2-2 heading into the 5th.... MM needs to keep it on the feet in the 5th, Cejudo needs top control.

Wow did Cejudo just win the title with that final flurry? We're headed to a close 48-47 flip, i'd say the champ probably retains a lot since judges tend to side with the champ in close fights, but there's a case for 2-4-5 there for Cejudo.

Win or lose i'm ok with MM/Cejudo 3 given it's a legit coinflip fight and MM has dominated everyone else

In before judges give us inexplicable scorecard
MMA Thread Quote

Wow. Congrats to the Cejudo backers. Legit coinflip can't be unhappy with either decision there a 48-47 split seems right either way. I think I score that 48-47 Cejudo just but would need to rewatch the fight for accurate scoring as several rounds were close.

We're def seeing MM vs Cejudo 3, and this is now the defining rivalry of Mighty Mouse's career. If they're making a super card at UFC 229, this would be a solid third title fight

Interesting Cejudo calls out winner of main event at 135. I can't see MM not getting an immediate rematch given it's a split decision though.

Woo came back from summer right on time. Didn't have time to post so believe me or don't, but I hit Aldrich and Cejudo so far. Got Garbrandt in the last one lezz goo.

Didn't think Cejudo won three rounds. When I heard Sal D'Amato had the 'deciding' score, most Demetrious Johnson backers must've known the game was up.

Henry Cejudo calling out the winner of Dillashaw/Garbrandt!? Madness.

I still lean Khabib but acting like this is a lock is silly, Conor isn't the same fighter he was against Mendes

There's a good chance this fight is over in the first few minutes one way or the other, either Conor landed on Khabib at will or Khabib takes him down with ease and does whatever. The only sure thing here is the fight is unlikely to be close, and I suppose Conor is very unlikely to win a decision too as if he's dominating the standup one would assume he finds a finish

On tomorrow's card i'm just on TJ -124 so far for a full bet and I put a small sweat bet on Jackson -110 since a lot of people seem high on him and he's steamed in a ton

I think Moicano, Santos and Mighty Mouse all win but not laying their prices, rest of the card looks about right, really the only spot i'm high on this card is TJ, I think he's probably closer to a -150 fav vs Cody. Probably should have taken it early when he was -112 like a month ago but didn't want to tie up the money forever. I think the longer the fight goes the better it is for TJ because Cody's main edge is hand speed, TJ has a more diverse attack with kicks and better wrestling and footwork but the main reason i'm on TJ is I think he has a better chin, a better fight IQ and a better corner. If anyone has a mental edge it has to be TJ too after winning the first fight by TKO. Cody knows if he loses via anything other than split decison the rivalry is over, he loses and he's not a contender anymore while TJ holds the belt.
I never said it was a lock, I said it was a bet you should not pass up on, and you should increase your stake on it, as it's that kind of bet, but obv not a lock. Be serious though Khabib 1.66 to fade a 1st round ko, that's about it.

Looked a bit of a robbery imo, MM won that, he did way more, Cejudo hardly threw a punch in r3,4,5. Yeah some takedowns with no damage, MM was way more active with kicks to the legs, body kicks and punches.

If Cody comes out like he fought Dominic, then I think he will own TJ. He looked very emotional last fight but he has kept his composure this time, I think Cody will own him, like he did Dom!

Remember he made Dom look stupid, and Dom was the goat of that division!

Less emotional but as soon as he thought he could finish, he went full ****** no defence, which was way too early and got clipped again. He should of stayed way more composed.
