Joanna still a beast in the clinch. Closer round Rose won most of it but Joanna won the last minute

Competitive round but Joanna won it imo

29-28 Rose after 3. Those leg kicks are a problem

Rose needs one more big shot or a takedown to win this fight, she needs one more round

Live odds have Joanna a tiny fav and Rose evens. I think pickem seems about right

Close round but Joanna won it on volume even though Rose landed the biggest shot I think

It feels like we're headed to a close JJ 48-47 unless Rose gets something going in the last round but who knows with the judges a couple rounds were close

I have it 38-38 with one round left

Joanna's eye closing though

48-47 Rose

Her work in the first 2 minutes + the takedown should be enough given Joanna may have landed more volume in the last 3m but no significant shots

All 3 sherdog judges have it 48-47 Rose with 1-2-5, I scored it the same way, hopefully judges get it right

Damn. Joanna got the fight she needed, and Rose still won. Impressive.

Wow, zero judges gave r4 to Joanna? Interesting. Slight 'champ gets the close rounds' bias there. Really shocked by unanimous 49-46 but right result if questionable score

Good card for me now, won on KK Dec, Rose and Moicano, lost on Lauzon so far and my small parlays bricked

If Khabib wins by sub will be an excellent card, and still a good card regardless.

That would have been a really controversial decision if Joanna won the fifth round clearly and lost a unanimous decision. Round 4 was close for sure, will be interested to see the stats when they're up. Rose did land the biggest shot but she was outlanded for a lot of the round

Will be interested to see Rose against Gadelha and Andrade and the rest. She has a Karolina rematch at some point too.

I know that I am posting after the fact, but Rose was +300 after round 4. Crazy live odds.

Thought we had the sub on that first RNC attempt

Hopefully Khabib keeps working for it he'll get an rnc or an arm triangle eventually

I guess it was seen widely as 2-2 and Joanna had momentum. Still crazy

I almost took some Khabib -110 by sub or dec prefight, but didnt sadly.

Still time for him to find a sub crazy theres no TD in r3

I mean he's still up 30-27 but whatever. Hopefully we get some more grappling my bet was already good given the RNC he tried already finishes it often enough at +250 hopefully we get it back to the mat

I have no idea why Khabib isn't shooting more is he gassed and hiding it well or does he just not think hes in any danger

Well Khabib's stock went down a little in the later rounds there but I don't hate my bet

I think the play was sub or dec -110 in hindsight but w/e still a solid card.

we got them good tonight, waffled a bit on moicano but ultimately didn't bet it, wish i'd followed you guys on that one. khabib vs tony is veryyyyyy interesting, much closer than i would have thought. i think khabib will be like -150 next time. someone like gregor gillespie might be interesting for khabib as well.

Yeah given the cardio issues Khabib might have issues with Tony in the later rounds. There might be decent value in fight to go the distance on that one, Khabib dec, Tony TKO r4/5 or something idk

Khabib looked invincible like usual for the first 2 rounds but a lot more mortal after that

Will be interesting to see if they make Khabib/Ferg or Khabib/Conor or Khabib/someone else I guess it depends what happens with the Conor situation and if Ferg can stay healthy. They def need to keep a replacement ready if they make Khabib/Ferg 5

Annoyed as I ate the chalk in thinking it'd finish ITD. Probably some canny punters out there who backed both title fights going the distance tonight.

Khabib likely wanted to test his standup particularly in the middle rounds but against someone who can land punches in bunches, Nurmagomedov may very well get found out.

Tony Ferguson supporters will very likely think that's the path to victory in beating Khabib as will Conor McGregor supporters.

Good luck to whoever faces Khabib in Moscow in September.

Wouldn't GSP be wise to take a fight with Khabib if he can get it? Seems like an awful matchup for Khabib given the edge in striking and I just can't see a smaller guy dominating GSP in grappling/wrestling the way Khabib needs to to win fights against elite opponents.

Think that fight has a better chance of getting made than people think if Khabib and his team really want it.

Yeah it'd be crazy if GSP can slim down to 155 after bulking to 185 but he did look more wide than big at 185 like it was forced weight

Prime GSP is the nightmare matchup for Khabib due to his excellent TDD and solid striking fundamentals, but he's well past his prime as we saw in the Bisping fight even though he won. Hard to say how that fight would go.

I'm considering fading Khabib against the right opponent for the first time ever now. I still think he's a fav against anyone at 155 probably, but not by much against Conor, Tony and GSP.

GSP can't do 155 at this point in his career but maybe they could fight at 170.

I'm not sure of that, if he lost the muscle mass he'd have a chance. He was basically fat at 185 (he got wide, but clearly deliberate as it was the only way he could bulk to 185)

Obviously 170 is his natural weight class but he might be able to cut the weight. I mean, Max Holloway is taller than he is. Granted GSP has a much bigger frame he'd need to take a lot of time to lose some muscle mass then make a huge cut, but I mean Rumble made 170 once upon a time.

There's a good chance the GSP we'd get at 155 would be depleted cardio wise and have less power and explosiveness though. I'd back the GSP of 5 years ago to win the WW title today but I don't think current GSP will ever hold a belt again and he wouldn't have got the MW one without Bisping being the champ (as much as I like Bisping and think his win over Rockhold was legitimate, I don't think GSP beats Romero or Whittaker and I think he's a dog to a couple other MWs probably including Rockhold, Weidman and Jacare)

GSP would have to cut off one of his legs to make 155 imo. not saying it maybe...maaaaybe would be possible 10 years ago when he was young, but not now.

GSP walkaround weight was just under 200 when he fought at 170 5 years ago. He's not making 155 ever, not then not now
