Anybody want the other side of KK or Khabib?

I saw in the media day thing around December when he said he'd fill in for either guy.

If neither gets injured either ortega or Frankies stock goes up and its a better title fight.
Not really, Holloway's never been a 'money fights' guy he just wants to be the GOAT in his weight class. He'd be one of the last fighters in the whole UFC i'd think would lie about an injury to duck a fight for a 'better fight'. Hes probably just healed up enough that he can fight through it now and he has nothing to lose given it's not his belt on the line and he's coming in as a dog and making bank; if he loses it was short notice up a weight class to the champ if he wins he enters GOAT conversations as a multi weight class champ

I added a bit more on Moicano, diluted my price from +135 to +130 but I have a full max bet on, biggest bet in a few cards. I'm starting to think that he closes as the favourite with how much the market's agreeing, he's in to +107 now, I mean the dude avoided Jeremy Stephen's bombs and decisioned him and was not long at all away from decisioning Ortega. Kattar's showed a lot of promise but is he really a fav over a guy who's fought Stephens and Ortega without being outclassed and if anything looking the better fighter (or at least the better point fighter) in both fights? Fili and Burgos are definitely UFC level fighters, but he's never faced legit top 10 fighters the way Moicano has. I originally thought it was a pickem fight but i'm now thinking i'd probably even take Moicano to like -120. Yeah, he's not a big fav, but at +130 (and he opened even higher) its a good spot. I really like KK dec +110 too, Felice is tough and unlikely to be finished, but also unlikely to out-point fight KK standing and unlikely to be able to take her down easily. If i'm wrong it's probably because Felice can take her down but she's never struck me as physically imposing in the way fighters like Andrade and Gadleha are and Gadelha's the only fighter able to bully Karolina at all, even against Joanna she held her own, won a round, was thoroughly outclassed on the feet but landed a few shots etc.

I'm more confident in my picks this card than I have been in a while - Moicano, Lauzon, Rose, KK dec in the first tier then Chiesa in the second tier so far and i'll probably find a way to be on AES in some capacity as well before the fight and maybe a couple of my other leans

Also looks like TJ vs Cody 2 for UFC 227. Hoping to get TJ at evens again, it was a great fight and happy to see it again but surprised they didnt give Cody a gimme fight to get some hype back first. I guess Cruz is out and then Rivera/Moraes winner is clear #1 contender unless its a close fight that Cody wins in which case we might see a rubber match. Hopefully we get to see TJ/MM eventually it's the only MM fight i'm interested in at this point since he's cleaned out his division. I guess at some point you have to make Benavidez 3 right

Conor is such a piece of sh** . Can't believe I used to be a fan. There's a warrant out for his arrest after throwing heavy objects at a vehicle transporting fighters. Chiesa got cut on his forehead by broken glass.

Dana pulled Lobov from the card too.

What a sh**show

Dana's words

This is the most disgusting thing that has ever happen in the history of the company. Police are, there is a warrant out for Conor McGregor’s arrest. They are looking for him right now. His plane can not take off. He can not leave the state of New York with this warrant. I am assuming eventually, if they don’t catch him he will turn himself in. You can imagine he is going to be sued beyond belief and this was a real bad career move for him. I think after this disgusting and despicable move, I think everybody relationship (including mine) with Conor is going to be not so great. This is a bad decision you make that turns a lot of people off and against you.... You want to grab 30 ****ing friends, come down here, and do what you did today? It’s disgusting! I don’t think anyone is going to be a huge Conor McGregor fan after this. I don’t know if he’s on drugs, or what his deal is, but to come and act like this ... We’re talking about a guy who has a baby. He just had a kid. This is how you are acting? You have a son at home.”

Connor should go see the irish band U2 and listen carefully to the song "with or without you" and then think of his future with the UFC.

my conspiracy theory is conor doesn't want to fight khabib and this was his way of sabotaging that fight. however, good joke thinking the company has any principals. this fight will sell 3 million now, gjge conor.

I went from being a Conor hater to a fan but this is just ridiculous, 3 fights cancelled now (Lobov pulled from card, Chiesa and Borg both injured by Conor's antics and their fights off)

I mean the UFC has no principles and will still make Conor vs Khabib and it'll sell but Conor will lose a lot of fans from this incident including me, and getting arrested is never a good career move. It really should be the end of Conor's career and revelance but i'm sure it won't be.

What a ridiculous moron Conor is. I thought it was all for the show and to sell tickets until now but it seems he's actually bought his own hype that he's untouchable.

Chiesa and Borg should sue him for damages. I mean Rose Namajunas nearly got hit by a flying chair, you can't be doing that. By all means get up in Khabib's face to sell the show but you can't be injuring bystanders or starting street fights.

UFC should definitely cut Artem for participating because he's worthless and as a punishment to Conor at the very least. In theory you'd say cut Conor too even though he's the biggest draw in the company but I assume he'll get 'suspended' instead as there's no way the UFC will turn down a Conor payday if he's ever willing to fight. He's hurt his negotiating position though he was probably in line for ownership shares in the company no way that's going to happen now

edit: holy **** glass got in Ray Borg's eye. He should sue regardless but if he sustains any permanent damage Conor could be up for millions in damages at least. What a piece of ****, i'm never cheering for Conor again. Chiesa with bad facial cuts in hsopital too. Also apparently Rose hurt her hand although it didn't break and is shaken up but that fights still on. I can't imagine that's good for my Rose bet, a lot of it is I thought she'd have a big mental edge over JJ but this has to mess with her preparation hopefully she's ready to go. If I was Pat Barry i'd want to beat the **** out of Conor right now (can you imagine how badly he would hurt Conor with his kicks) although I assume he's too sane to get into streetfights with a moron.

This is the last sort of thing i'd expect from Conor to be honest he's probably cost himself 50 million plus with this stupidity and possibly gained a felony depending how bad Borg and Chiesa's injuries are. Throwing water bottles is one thing, this is just ******ed

I was on the fence about who i'd want to win Conor vs Khabib but now i'm not. I'd love to see Khabib embarrass him.

Nurmagomedov told MMAFighting.com he was “laughing inside”. “You broke window? Why? Come inside,” he said. “If you real gangster why don’t you come inside? This is big history gangster place. Brooklyn. You want to talk to me? Send me location. I am going to come. No problem.”

50m+? more like 2-3m max I'd think with a good attorney.

He'll be fighting in the fall like Dana had talked about prior. UFC is in serious debt...and Conor vs Khabib is now a monster 1.5m+ PPV.

They can't afford to lose him as they have zero draws besides a 40 year old Brock Lesnar and an ancient GSP.

I'm sure the UFC will suspend him a few months then let him fight again i'm more talking about the damage to his brand, he would have had a real shot at getting ownership shares in the UFC as part of a new multi fight contract but they can't do that now and a single point there is tens of millions

Been looking for excuses to be on Joanna again, and I guess I found them in seemingly good weight news and Rose reportedly being shook after the Conor thing. I might be too stuck in memories of Joanna's best performances though.

Also picked up some Herrig.

Khabib down to -400 and it seemed to come after that news, is that related? Can't see why it would be.

On Khabib now he is back at 1.25.
Don't think he will be effected by this Mcgregor stuff at all.

Now all that's left is Khabib facing some newcomer who will never be a draw and him KO'ing Khabib to lose yet another semi-draw.

Talk is Pettis stepping up per Ariel Helwani. Felder has also thrown his hat in the ring (he made championship weight). I really hope they manage to make a fight, this card sorely needs it.

Pettis probably stopped his cut last night tho right?

Give Iaquinta the title shot, haha

Love how ufc.com still has McGregor listed as the champ

Jesus this UFC card is turning in to a right circus.
Shame because it was looking awesome only a week out.
Hope they find someone to chuck in with Khabib.

I guess sticking point is Khabib only wants to fight if its for belt.
Felder isn't ranked high enough per commision.
Pettis wants PPV points which UFC said no to

Odds seem like JJ vs Rose becomes main and either Khabib doesn't fight or Khabib vs Pettis in 3 rounder?

i got devin clark -105, but not for a huge bet. i think his wrestling should be able to get him by versus an opponent with a pretty inflated record vs bums. the fights i've scouted, rodriguez hasn't shown great tdd, even in some of the fights he wins. clark isn't lost on the feet, he acquitted himself decently vs jan blachowitz but i think he'll have success pushing rodriguez up to the cage and grounding him from there. also with that said i think there's some value on over 1.5 rounds -132 because i dont think clark is going to get a quick finish, but more of a grind it out style win. that said, i wouldnt be shocked if clark got sloppy and ran into something diving for a leg or whatever, but all in all i think it's a pretty solid spot.

so for this card im rocking (all small bets, nothing really pops for me now)

clark -105
clark/rod o/1.5 -132
mericer -100
rose +110

still have to look at moicano/kattar, herrig/KK, and lau/gruez

propably gonna pass on scouting bellator, all fights -300 or higher, but does anyone have an opinion on those fights?

I actually feel sorry for the UFC. This card is cursed. As I said before the Ufc should pay a 3rd qualified fighter to train as a fill in to fight either M.E fighter if one gets injured.
Long term this would sabe the UFC money.

Annoying. At least Iaquinta is as good a replacements as they can hope for even if he only really has a punchers chance against Khabib. Incredibly dumb it's not for the title since he's at 155.2, give the man some time to cut the extra 0.2 lbs sigh

Khabib vs Ferguson cards are always cursed

My original 7 leg parlay is now 4 leg lol

Not too shocked Max ruled medically unfit, big weight cut on short notice + may have still been injured.

Card down to 9 fights. At least my 3 fav betting spots (Moicano, Rose, Lauzon) are all still fighting. Khabib still gets the belt if he wins, Iaquinta is at least top 15, it's a pity Conor ruined the card somewhat but even with 9 fights its still solid.

I agree with Sect7G that in case of big main event fights the UFC should pay someone their show money to stay ready as a fill-in. In this case they could have had say Alvarez or Poirier ready to go in case either guy got hurt and it wouldnt result in them having to cannibalise the rest of the card to try and find a replacement

im sure he weighed in not knowing he needed to be on championship weight, got his mark and started immediately re-hydrating which is why i think they tried to make it with felder first.
