Single - Jake Matthews v Li Jingliang
Li Jingliang - Fight Betting
Odds: 2/3
1 lines at £175.00 per line
Total Stake for this bet: £175.00
Potential Return:£291.67

I think this is a good bet tbh,

Guy is the product of the highest levels of china frying pan, and he sure looks it, look at his recent movement and cardio and power and fight progression in which he shared the card with Wang.

I see this fight ending ITD,

Li is a pretty timeless classic fighter imo, you can see the level of dedication he has put in.

Edit: Nice fight intelligence, spacing, and has power, he is not in the cage vs elite dude here.. he deserves 1.5unit to 2.5 unit play, he is that good. Any thing can happen in the cage but this is a nice play.

Kind of like Blaydes but he is still green on his feet. Wasn't really able to gage the distance well against Oleynik and if he does that with Hunt he is in trouble.

Think Pearson should be a level above Hirota but he has been in some wars and coming off a KO can't trust him.

Brendan Schaub is a terrible mma analyst. I remember him hyping Thatch up "That's your next superstar at Welterweight."
Added Jingliang at 1.7.
Quite a few people seem high on this bet and after watching his fights today alongside Matthews. I can see why.

Fast hands, decent power, durable, scrappy, great endurance. If its the Matthews that showed up in his last bout Jingliang will piece him up.

Too many seem to like it here. That's never good in my experience.

Fired a couple props for later in the card

Not Blaydes ITD -195

Was -190, hit it twice for the max on Pinny; I don't think Blaydes finishes Hunt over a third of the time in a 3 rounder, he's tough and fighting at home

Small on Hunt wins in r1 +500

I do think Hunt puts him out cold as he shoots a decent amount; if Hunt wins I think it'll either be a r1 walk off KO or a decision

Tuivasa wins in r1 +105

I think it's about 5050 whether Tuivasa finishes him in the first if I had to say yes or no at evens i'd say yes, so taking it at plus odds. Tuivasa has horrible technique but he's a powerful athletic beast and Asker's been finished in the first by less powerful guys. I quite like Jim's bets where if Tuivasa doesn't finish him in the first it could be a 10-8 9-10 9-10 draw or Asker wins, but i'm backing Tuivasa to get the r1 stoppage

Pedro wins ITD -116, markets like the fight to not go the distance and I think Pedro will finish him a decent amount.

That's in addition to my Rockhold -143, Volkanovski -185 and small on Matthews +150 I took yesterday

I like Formiga in theory in a pickem but I want Nguyen to win and Nguyen's steamed in a bit so just going to leave that one

Shame I didn't get on Pearson but oh well, I liked it at -130 but not really at the closing line around -158

I like Ross Pearson, glad to see him get a win

Wow, great performance by Formiga. Guess I should have trusted my read, but happy enough to have left it.

Volkanovski up next for my first bet of the day.

Volkanovski has some nasty GnP

Could be a 10-9 or a 10-8 in r1 either is fine I think it depends whether they've adopted the new rules or not. I'd call it a 10-8 I think.

Wasn't Kennedy's strength supposed to be wrestling lol

I think Volkanovski may be our best prospect since Whittaker, good takedowns, great TDD, good striking, great GnP

Hopefully we see him against a top 20 opponent next see where he stands (granted its only r2 but he looks great) he'll be 4-0 in the UFC after this

Ref could have stopped that sooner but I guess Kennedy was trying to defend, he was done 10 punches sooner though

Great performance by Volkanovski his best so far - sky is the limit for him. Will be interesting to see whether he moves to a top US camp as he becomes a contender or keeps training in Australia/Thailand

Mental note to self Wilkinson can't strike and Adesanya can't wrestle, fadeeeeeeeeee

Adesanya has nice striking but he's amazing fade material against any NCAA wrestler if a non elite wrestler can take him down at will for a round and change, could be good value fading Adesanya the first time he faces a wrestler with remotely competent striking defense and cardio

Adesanya has some personality. Needs to fix his wrestling to go anywhere though

Hmm decent amount of Blaydes steam coming in the last half hour. My main bet on that one is Hunt to not get finished and a small bet on Hunt r1. I do think Hunt by TKO or Blaydes by decision are the most likely outcomes so pretty happy with my spots there. When researching the fight I was surprised to realise that Hunt has only ever lost one decision, to Lesnar, which was changed to a NC. A lot of his stoppage losses have been super late in the fight though or early in his career before he had TDD/submission defense and this is only 3 rounds.

No idea why Brown thinks he was robbed, no homecrowd judging there but he did not do anything to win the fight other than a few nice leg kicks in r1

Another one where my read was Kim but didn't bet it, but neither guy really deserved to win that

Wow that Kimura is the best one we've seen in the UFC since Mir vs Big Nog. Anyone not watching live make sure you catch the Pedro vs Safarov finish. Definitely earned a 50k bonus for that one.

2-0 start to the card now with Pedro ITD, that was one of my smaller bets for the card but still nice.

I can't help but feel like i'm on the wrong side of this next one at +150 vs Matthews, but i'm a huge fan of his and he still does have huge upside being as young as he is. Pinny has Li at -148 so my bet can't be that terrible in theory. Another small one though. Hope Matthews can finally put it all together in the octagon. It can't ever be too bad to be in at an arb price vs Pinny.

@dekid glgl on Not Blaydes ITD, I have about 3/4 of a max bet for me on it at -195 average, I love that Pinnacle has props now. It's my second biggest bet of the card after Rockhold -143

Decided to add a tiny hedge on my Tuivasa by r1 TKO bet on Asker decision +1200 to break even if it hits

Oh wow, Matthews was 5'9 when he made his debut at 19 and he's 6' now at 23 according to the commentators

Makes sense why he's gone from LW to WW while looking similar physique wise then he's gone from a big LW to a decent sized WW

I like my side seeing them in the octagon, Matthews is so much bigger than I expected and Li is smaller he looks almost a full weight class bigger when I expected them to be about the same size
MMA Thread Quote

Wow, Matthews has some power now at WW he looked like he surprised himself when he dropped Li there

Could be a 10-8 depending how heavily they weight the knockdown or a 10-9 under old criteria either way

Hunt out at +156 is getting pretty tempting straight up

Didn't catch the foul by Li that the refs say he used to escape the sub, will def have to catch a replay on that but gross if the ref missed it
MMA Thread Quote

Close r2, Li won most of the round but almost got finished and saved himself with an eye poke that went uncalled

Hope Matthews doesnt run out of gas

Jesus christ saw the replay there that should be a DQ for Li and a win by submission/DQ for Matthews. Blatant eye gouge not just a poke, that was deliberate and Li should be DQ'd if he wins after the fight this 100% should be overturned unless Matthews wins, it's literally the most blatant eye gouge i've ever seen in the UFC to get out of a fight ending submission

Matthews 100% the correct side of this one on what we've seen Li wouldnt even be in it if not for the eye gouge
