I guess Rivera gets to make a name off Faber though if he's someone the UFC thinks could be a draw. It's a shame to see him go out this way though even though i've always cheered against Faber.
I just hope this next fight delivers and they don't embarrass the sport, the hype has done a good job of convincing me that Gall is legit for a 2-0 vs cans prospect and Punk may be better than he's letting on, we'll see I guess.
lol, I mean it's only a small bet, but I feel a bit silly too for betting on Punk even at long odds after that. He didn't totally embarrass himself but still got no offense in.
Gall actually looks really good. I want to see him against a more experienced guy now.
Someone gave Gall the mic skills and I have to admire that. The UFC should give him Sage after that despite the experience gap although they're technically a weight class apart Sage could fight at 170 or Gall could maybe cut to 155 although he'd probably have to lose some muscle mass, if Gall wins a few they could have a superstar on their hands and he's young enough to improve, although he needs to face a legit fighter next and we'll see if he's only looked good due to fighting cans or if he can take on lower-mid level UFC guys already.
Punk is gracious in defeat. I'd really respect it if he takes a fight on the regional circuit against another 0-1 guy or similar if he wants to continue to do this, he can't really fight in the UFC a second time unless it's against a 0-0 celebrity or whatever after that though.
I agree with Sect that Punk did ok on the ground with a brown belt on top of him, he defended two submission attempts and a few bad positions and ate a lot of strikes before getting taken out by the second RNC that Gall locked in.
Adding another 1.3u Werdum -3.5 pts -145 and 1.5u Miocic decision no bet -127 since i'm chasing losses and hoping to get back to even for the card if Werdum and Stipe can get it done
If Werdum loses he should protest that Browne calling for a time out for an injury is a TKO loss, he dislocates his hand to put it back in but you can't do that mid fight
Ref should not have granted it it wasn't a foul
That said Werdum is lighting Browne up for the most part
What the **** has happened to Browne's striking under Edmond it's like he's gone from 'serviceable striker' to 'utter garbage' and just skipped the below average part
Werdum seems pretty gassed but Travis can't do anything about it anyway by the look but that's annoying as I have Werdum ITD as well as straight up and he should have finished in r1. Hopefully Werdum gets a second wind in r3
I have it 20-17 Werdum but 20-18's fine too. Werdum didn't land much in r2 but more than Travis
