Bader's like a deer in the headlights

10-9 Machida, idk what Bader is doing, trying to play the distance game w machida and absoloutely worthless kicks. Why isn't he setting up and at least trying to initiate a takedown.

10-9 Machida... question is, does he get the flashy KO or the boring 30-27

Is it too early to say bader is drawing dead?
MMA Thread Quote

Doesn't look like anyones getting a finish. Baders too defensive and Machida isn't an offensive fighter in that sense.

Machida looks comfortable, but this is MMA w thin gloves, all it takes is a little mistake.

Haha he got frustrated and decided to do smth about it, too bad he's facing the best counter-artist except maybe Silva, haha that rush was so pathetic.

Machida by Kryptonite Punch.

LOL Machida is simply amazing. Wait for Bader to get frustrated and come forward, one punch precision KO.

Machida or Swick for KOTN? Shogun and Vera both have a chance too if either of them can get the KO

Looks like machida Jones 2 if shogun holds I win a nice parlay

I'm not that thrilled though, I'm afraid he's going to get killed by Jones again. Machida is by far my favorite fighter in UFC.

Assuming Hendo loses routinely, pretty sure the only way the LHW title is interesting anytime soon is if Machida challenges every 6 months until he wins or he's eating through a straw permanently (more likely).

Whoa, the replay, wtf is Bader thinking, close to 2 m away, he rushes Machida with a right hand like he has no respect for Machida. Had it coming.

Need Shogun to scoop a somewhat chalky 4 fight parlay of Swick, Lauzon, Machida, (Shogun).

Well he had to try something or he was going to get 30-27'd landing zero offense. He's just not good enough to fight guys of Jones/Machida's caliber. Honestly, outside of Shogun having a decent chance against Machida (i'll be taking Machida in the rubber match though @ evens or better) I don't think any LHW has a real chance over Machida or Jones. We saw what happened to Evans against both of them. Machida got robbed against Rampage, and landed the only significant offense of the fight and would have won easily over 5 rounds.

The only other guy who has any chance at all is Gustaffson simply because he's a tall good striker who offers something different.

If Shogun wins and ends up with the title shot, Machida/Gustaffson in a #1 contender bout has the potential to be amazing.

Since Pinn doesn't offer props and I can't get Shogun via TKO there or straight up at a decent price i'm considering a small underdog play on Vera as Shogun could show up with wrecked knees or w/e and I don't like betting him at -400

Might just sit back and enjoy the fight though as objectively, Shogun annihilates him.

Gustaffson Machida is def an interesting fight as Gustaffson is a really good boxer. I mean yeah, it's easier said than done when facing Machida but I think playing the distance game like he did is the nut worst, he's just not that skillful of a standup fighter.

ok, 0.1u on Vera because i'll be cheering for him and 0.3u on the over 3.5 rounds at +240ish

Gustaffson is tall and has better striking though which is why it's interesting, and Machida won't take him down which is his weakness.

Either it'd be a 3-5 round jabfest, or someone would get put to sleep in spectacular fashion (probably Gustaffson)

I'd rather see Machida/Jones 2 than Shogun/Jones 2 though, given Machida actually has a real chance to beat him whereas Shogun has a puncher's chance at best

I wonder how much shoguns knee injury had to do with his bad performance against Jones. He seemed to have awful stamina there as well in that fight.

just for the record I expect shogun to win, but don't see any value in the bet... gogo sweat on vera!

Well Shogun isnt the favorite for no reason, he has better chin and standup than Vera, but there is always a factor w Shogun on how his training has gone and how his conditioning is + Vera is a very good striker himself.

Pretty embarrassing for Vera to be taken down by Shogun imo.
