Doesn't he get 9% royalties on all profits made over the next 5 years too? Imo that's huge

Not sure, but I read the same thing , + 500k salary ... Not gross though , on net profit.

Not too sure, maybe I read it wrong. Just pulled up the report.

"According to a report from ESPN, White stands to receive a $360 million payout for his share of the promotion and will sign a five-year deal to remain on as company president. It's a deal that will see him earn nine-percent of UFC's annual net profits"

They need to lock Dana. The UFC wouldn't want him starting his own brand with Rogan, who, once said he would be out if the Ferttiti bro.s left.

Non-compete clauses are super standard when companies are sold.

They need to lock him nevertheless. Dana is good for the UFC.

Is he really though?

He's kind of a relic of the "just bleed" era of the sport that it's been trying to get past for some time now. Though compare him to, say, Roger Goodell and I guess things could be worse.

As for non-compete clauses yes they exist but only for a finite time. Scott Coker had one, but now he's running Bellator.

I would guess they simply want a smooth transition to slowly phase him out.

I think he is. He's a good businessman and has a knack for knowing what fights the people want and when to give them. Sometimes he doesn't give them knowing that giving them later would draw larger crowds. And he took MMA to a whole new level.

Going with a 'less is more' betting strategy this time. Lima is a better fighter than Daley, and if he doesn't get caught with a left hook he should beat Daley by stoppage or decision.

Bellator 158 Risk $387.72

Douglas Lima (-140) vs Paul Daley $280.00 for $200.00
Francis Carmont wins by 3 round decision (+290) vs Lukasz Klinger $34.48 for $100.00

Parlay:
Michael Page/Evangelista Santos Under 1½ (-210) + Matt Mitrione/Oli Thompson Under 1½ (-166) $73.24 for $100.01

I bet him near the opener a day or two ago. I type up and post my bets usually the afternoon before a card, but that doesn't mean that I just made my bets minutes earlier.

In the U.S.? This London card will be tape delayed, so try to avoid spoilers. Prelims at 6 PM EDT on Spike.com and main card on Spike TV at 9 PM EDT.
