I like Thomson a decent amount.

Are you factoring in his likely lack of motivation? On skillsets alone i'd be on Thompson, but the fighter who fought Green and has been inactive etc. is not going to beat Ferguson. If he brings the guy who fought Diaz/Bendo its a good bet but I feel lik that guy might be gone for good

Yeah, that's the bigger cage.

I took all 12 of the unders for .15u on bad info.

Oh well. Cheering for finishes is always fun.

Just devil's advocate, but he has a tendency to be taken down easily and does a lot of work from his back. Bad for judge's decisions. Similar to Condit in that way.

Not afraid to fight off his back, and maybe should be more so. Thompson maintaining top position for two rounds is not unthinkable at all.

don't like the fact Josh Thomson went 5 rds vs Benson Henderson last jan 2014 guys, you go 5 rds vs mr book worm ninja dude you are proper, not easy to last in there with benson.

Tony is going to have to have a good fight to win, tony is impressive thou he should control josh every place on the feet.

will check the result when wake in the BST AM.

gl every one with your bets.

mma noobie question: are the rules for womens fights different than mens?

after watching the two womens matches today it seemed like they were letting their opponent get back up before re-engaging (although not always). i tried searching online and didn't find anything indicating that there was a difference in this regard.

same rules, holm backed off enough for a stand up i guess

Same rules, both fighters just wanted to keep winning easily on the feet and not tard off and get subbed.

I love how the Holm fight got one random 10-8 and the Ferguson fight got the same number of 10-8s.

thanks for the responses to the question. im still kinda confused as to why it was happening, but good to know its not a rule thing.

If one is on her back and the other one doesn't engage fairly quickly (a few random butt kicks don't count), the ref will stand it up for lack of action. Holm comes from a boxing background and was winning the striking super-easily, so not really much point in taking a chance going to the ground there with the fight in the bag.
