Made my first bets of the Philippines card

0.5u Edgar by KO/TKO +410
0.1u Edgar wins in r5 +2400

Considering a bet on Lim, but the steam seems to be on Magny so it'll be last minute if I do. Steam has come against Lim in his last 3 fights and he's won 2 of them, so doesn't concern me too much. I think he may be underrated after the tough Saffiedine loss and Magny's 6 fight win streak may be overrated slightly, he does have some good wins and has improved a lot but he lost to Seth Baczynski, Sergio Moraes and Mike Ricci only a couple years ago. Lim should have a size advantage despite Magny's huge reach too, Lim is huge for the weight class

Don't think there's anything else I really like on the card, i'd fade Munoz if it was outside the Philippines but he'll really want one last good performance here to go out on

Ohh Romero vs Machida. Would favor Machida heavily pre Rockhold, but now, with how he got beat up on the ground and couldnt get up, it's a lot more closer? If Romero gameplanned accordingly, I'd think he could take it, but he does tend to want to trade leather, and he might just do a bader and get flatlined.

Very strict new drug rules released today, lots of fighters will look and fight very differently.

So Jon Jones would have been 2 years for his last cocaine scandal?

Possibly bad for Aldo; he already looks like a different fighter in Brazil

Will be interesting to see who else tests positive

I wouldn't be surprised to see Yoel Romero test positive for the same reasons I wasn't shocked when Lombard did

Johny Hendricks had better watch out as well imo, wouldn't be surprised if we never see the GSP 1/Lawler 1 fighter Hendricks again

RDA is another one whose physique/fighting style has changed a lot in the last year or two and wouldn't surprise me if he gets caught or can't replicate his Pettis performance.

What odds could I get for one of Romero, Aldo, Hendricks and RDA tests positive for anything in the next 24 months, anyone? (all speculation based on physique; I have no evidence any of them are on anything and am not actually accusing any of them of being on something; it's just a suspicion)

tbh I think most of it will stop now.

It was almost rational to dope, penalties have been a joke. Now a 2nd offense basically finishes your career (would be 6 years off in total).

Hopefully, it's about time MMA got rid of PED cheats for good

I'll take this if swoop doesn't want it.

Also anyone have a good reason why I shouldn't keep on hammering Dudu tonight?

I got a buncha $ already from -190 to -210, but feel like I should be adding a lot more. Aside a lucky punch, I don't see how Richman wins?

The sad part is that it's still not that irrational to dope with the current pay inequalities as long as there's a decent chance you can get away with it. So much more money at the champ/main/top 5 level. So much more money in the UFC than not in the UFC. Stanozolol or something that stays in the system forever is awful, but something fast-clearing really isn't. ****tons of guys are doing stuff now and not getting caught, so the random testing regimen really, really needs to be beefed up to accomplish much. Would anybody really take the under on 85% of males (under contract for 12 months or more) having used PEDs at some point while under contract at +100? Would anybody take over 0.5 totally clean current male champs at +100? +300?

My Bellator action for tonight:

Wish I waited on Kendall Grove, +660 is big value if he can survive Halsey's initial onslaught. I grabbed the Grove ITD prop at +800 but wish they had a sub prop at even higher odds because I picture Kendall slapping a sub on a gassed Halsey to win this. Played a couple other props I like including Silva by DEC and Dantas ITD. No longer picking a side on the Gonzalez/Millender fight as I think the over 2½ is safer there.

Bellator 137 Risk $541.00

Kendall Grove (+500) vs Brandon Halsey $100.00 for $500.00
Kendall Grove wins inside distance (+800) $25.00 for $200.00
Brandon Halsey/Kendall Grove Under 1½ (-125) $50.00 for $40.00

Eduardo Dantas (-200) vs Mike Richman $200.00 for $100.00
Eduardo Dantas wins inside distance (+120) $40.00 for $48.00

Fernando Gonzalez/Curtis Millender Over 2½ (-165) $66.00 for $40.00

Rafael Silva (+130) vs Darrion Caldwell $40.00 for $52.00
Rafael Silva wins by 3 round decision (+245) $20.00 for $49.00

how are you betting Jose Aldo v Conor McGregor, JimGunn?

I am intrigued by this fight a ton.

gl with your tonight action sure it will result in + green results (hopefully).

ref bones... he should have to do 180 hours of community service on top of what ever else is going on, only then get back in ufc.

Community service is a good thing and enables space for a person to think through what they are doing in life, by the grace of a court, and they get some time to reflect and also do good.

In all seriousness, it must be difficult for jon jones, he has to reconcile with being that awesome but mortal at the same time, kind of like the rest of us but to a lesser degree :-)

Love heals all, be great for jones to get away from drugs and the dark side and to be a power of good, sure hope UFC allow him a chance to redeem and get back in the cage.

Well, I will say this. Almost all of my sharp betting friends that I chat with online are salivating at betting big money, some of them intending to make a lifetime largest bet, on Aldo at these low odds on the theory that Conor is facing the stiffest test of his career and he'll be outmatched by Aldo's leg kicks and ground game with his BJJ black belt. I can't argue with the logic really, but on the other hand, I do buy into the Conor hype to an extent with his striking creativity and punching accuracy. I'm honestly torn on this fight myself, and with the time we have between now and then I am going to wait to reserve judgement after seeing more previews, the open workouts and weigh-ins.

0.25u Grove +600
0.25u Dantas -202

Messed up and accidentally didn't hit the reduced juice tab on 5d, could have had +660. Oops.

Make it for 50 I guess; so i'm risking 50 and you're risking 175? Reply with booked and it's booked.

Terms: at least one of RDA, Hendricks, Aldo, Romero tests positive for anything banned in a test conducted relating to their competing in MMA on or before May 16 2017. Regarding recreational drug use (cocaine, pot etc); make any failed test a push if it isn't PED or PED masking agent related? Anything that could be related to PED use including banned diuretics or stuff for cutting weight, masking agents etc. counts as a win for me.

While we're on the topic of sidebets I feel like I should list all of the pending sidebets I made ITT

If anyone can recall any others let me know, otherwise i'll assume this is everything I have pending

vs Yoyobo

100 on Ronda vs Cain Last Longer as Champion (via any means other than either champ retiring undefeated which is a push) +100
75 to win 50 on DC vs Rumble if they fight this year (currently booked for UFC 187) -150
100 on Rory vs Hendricks title fight if it happens in next (I forget timeframe I assume 12-24 months from when we made bet?) +100
50 on one of RDA/Hendricks/Aldo/Romero fails drug test by May 16 2017 +350

vs Mossified

225 to win 150 on Brown vs Means -150

Misread the bet. Guess I offered it, and its not too -EV, so it's booked.

We also have a Dufresne bet booked I think. Unless we never agreed on terms, I just remember discussing it.

Oh right I think your side was that Dufresne wins every fight until she is recalled by the UFC from memory right?

And yeah happy to scrap the fail drug test bet if you didn't mean to offer it, all good, post that its cancelled if you want to and its cancelled, otherwise booked

I ended up w 0.5u Dantas and 0.5u Grove plus 0.2u Gonzales which won

Think Dantas is maybe -200 to get the decision here maybe a slightly bigger fav, gl me

Seems like everyone had r1 for Dantas; I did too but thought it was close

Here we go

...and we hold

Commentator had it for Richman apparently, most of the cards I saw had it for Dantas

Wasn't very impressed by Dantas though I used to think he'd be top 10 in the UFC; I don't really anymore

Eduardo Dantas looked terrible and he was very lucky to get the decision. Da Spyder came close to pulling off a submission on Halsey, but that dude's a tank and powered out of everything. Darrion Caldwell and Fernando Gonzalez both looked good early on. I should have kept my original bet on Gonzalez. Will have to make up this moderately small loss tomorrow morning on the UFC Manila card.

Bellator 137

Kendall Grove (+500) vs Brandon Halsey $100.00 for $500.00= -$100.00
Kendall Grove wins inside distance (+800) $25.00 for $200.00= -$25.00
Brandon Halsey/Kendall Grove Under 1½ (-125) $50.00 for $40.00= -$50.00

Eduardo Dantas (-200) vs Mike Richman $400.00 for $200.00= $200.00
Eduardo Dantas wins inside distance (+120) $40.00 for $48.00= -$40.00

Fernando Gonzalez (-105) vs Curtis Millender $42.00 for $40.00= $40.00= $40.00
Curtis Millender (-105) vs Fernando Gonzalez $42.00 for $40.00= -$42.00= -$42.00
Fernando Gonzalez/Curtis Millender Over 2½ (-165) $66.00 for $40.00= -$66.00

Rafael Silva (+130) vs Darrion Caldwell $40.00 for $52.00= -$40.00
Rafael Silva wins by 3 round decision (+245) $20.00 for $49.00= -$20.00
-----
Total Loss= -$143.00

Alright cancelled. Yeah I had Dufresne winning, but I feel like we agreed to x amount of fights and x happens, and all fights had to happen in x division. I can go back through thread later and look.
