This would explain him and faber being put on prelims. No way Dana wants to pay them points on a ppv unless they are main or co main. Bump them to prelims or free cards and he doesn't have to pay them.

Doubt they get ppv points, I'd think only co-main & main events get a piece of that action. Unless your name is Conor and then you'd get all the perks with discretionary checks.

Still not sure why people say they are underpaid, their only worth what the market pays them. WSOF announcing a 50/50 spilt with fighters on their next ppv event sounds reasonable and will be interesting to see how that pans out.

Pretty sure I read Gil gets points whenever he's on PPV, that's why they straight gave him a title shot and another now even though he almost lost to Diego

He didn't almost lose to Diego. He beat him up for two rounds and got caught in the third, after beating him up for most of that round too.

Gil deserves that shot right now more than anyone. If it wasn't for a bad decision he could be the champ right now.

I dont understand what you are disputing, he got legit knocked down and Diego screwed up the followup, not denying he dominated the rest of the fight. But if Diego reacts better, he finishes there

Sure I guess it's true. Both of them were close to getting finished at one point in the fight. But it's a pretty terrible description of how those fights went.

What? Why? Didn't Brilz almost beat Lil'Nog and Vinny totally sucks? Without any further analysis i'd be leaning the other way at evens let alone at that price. Brilz hasn't been subbed since 2001 so it's not like he's lacking submission defense

Not Alvarez ITD at -350 seems solid. Cerrone's only KO loss was body shot to Pettis and he got subbed late by bendo in WEC. I think giving Alvarez a 20% chance of finishing is generous and that still leaves some value.

Maybe it's my love of Vinny more than anything.

Brilz isn't the kind if guy that is going to use amazing footwork and jabs to keep his opponent off of him though (in the way Davis did)and when Vinny gets a hold of him, I think that's it.

Also at this point in their careers I feel Vinny works harder. From everything he said/did leading up to his last metamoris fight, he seemed very dedicated to becoming the best MMA fighter he could be. Training very hard, and just doing everything right. I also got the same sense leading up to his Phil Davis fight. Clearly he's not a guy that is ever going to be a top contender. But he has the work ethic of one. In these promotions, with washed up ufc talent, that's pretty rare.

I just struggle to bet on a guy who got KO'd by Perosh in under 10 seconds as a favourite against competent opposition. At the end of the day work ethic aside his best win is Igor Pokrajac. Brilz certainly doesn't have impressive wins either and he's getting old, but he does have a win over Boetsch and a close fight with Lil'Nog. Seems like i'd cap this at closer to evens on pure records/fights I remember alone, but I haven't seen either of their fights outside of the UFC so I might be missing something

Also, just added a 0.13u to win 7.3u parlay on Cruz/Thompson/Ebersole/Kennedy/Lee/Gibson/Masvidal/Alvarez - not going to make any huge bets on the next card so may as well have some longshot sweats to bink big. I think it hits more than 1 in 54 times or whatever the price is, so it's probably ok.

Ya Brilz can grapple a bit, no way would I lay that kinda juice on a guy who got one-hittered by Perosh.

Outside of Cerrone, I don't like a single side line for this card. Then even with Cerrone my read isn't very strong, and a lot of people seem to be on Alvarez, so not even sure I'll bet that.

Might take a stab on some o/u lines then watch as a fan. Decided to skip my Vinny bet and watch that as a fan as well.
