Last night was a grim reminder of how maddening and streaky sports betting can be. As you saw above, THU night was bad for me but last night was monkey tilting:
Princeton/Harvard U124 WIN .5u
Fairfield/Manhattan O114 LOSS 1u
- For those who didn't see, this game set the all-time record for lowest-scoring game in the MAAC conference. Final was 34-31
and teams shot less than 30% combined.
Iona -4.5 vs. Loyola (MD) LOSS 2.75u
- This was the one that about sent me into orbit as I don't think I've scouted a game more intensely than this one in the last few weeks.
Iona up by six with less than 10 seconds left and rebounds a Loyola miss. Loyola fouls Momo Jones who is the second leading scorer in D1 and a 90% FT shooter who had dropped 30+ on them and missed just once.
He makes the first to move the lead to 90-83 and clanks the second. Iona plays token D as the game is over but then with two seconds left basically starts to walk off the floor in victory which allows a Loyola guy to shoot a wide open three as time expires and cut the lead to four.
I made myself a stiff drink after that ending and followed it up with another. No better day than today though to break out of this mini-slump - I will persevere LOLZ.
