I wish I had anywhere near that much, but I do have them at -3 and the over 4. Turning into a bit of a sweat.

Hey folks,

Thought I would see if 2 + 2 cared to sweat with me on this parlay of mine.

It's likely dead to rights, we all know, but hey, who REALLY knows.

17 game parlay. 5 different sport leagues. NBA, NCAAF, NFL, NHL, UFC. Mostly just straight wins, except one NHL game over and 2 point spreads.

I have 2 separate bets. One was the real gun, 2nd was a mirror image of the 1st, but took a longer odds bet on the points.

Bet is as follows

NBA Nikola Jokic over 23.5 points 1.90
NBA Nikola Jokic over 30.5 points for 4.75.

My big gun in the race here, has the 1.90 odds, and my smaller bet, had the 4.75 odds bet.

This was last night, and Jokic hit 38 points to cover both. So leg one done buried in our hole.

the rest of the 16 bets are as follows

Bills -6.5 1.95
Seahwawks ML 1.57
Bucs ML 1.25
Ravens -3.0 1.90
Steelers ML 1.37
Alabama -2.5 1.35
Leafs ML 1.71
Lightning ML 1.4
Avalanche ML 1.74
Capitals ML 1.76
Wild ML 1.86
Ducks/Knights Over 5.5 1.76
Michael Chiesa ML 2.10
Joanne Calderwood ML 1.80
Dan Hooker ML 1.66
Conor McGregor ML 1.36

I laid down $111 to try and win $571,411.37 on the big guy
I laid down $3.70 to try and win $47,390.86

Total $618,802.23

What say you 2p2 folks, thoughts on the degeneracy?
01-09-2021 , 06:00 PM
why'd you take the bills?
01-09-2021 , 06:13 PM
if you're gonna do degen parlays why not just do open parlays

in case something happens in those NHL games that really destroys the ML (e.g., injury)

also i'd check if the book has a max parlay payout. most cap it at some amount but let you place parlays that go over that amount. so you could hit the 600k parlay and get paid 25k due to some house rule
01-10-2021 , 05:30 PM
Ha, well that's as about as anti sweat as it comes haha.

I took bills because I believed they would win by a lot more then a fg

And the bookie would pay out, confirmed.

I'll be placing 2 or 3 of these a month for fun.

Cheers and good luck to all

One of the local rec players from my local pub poker game put on an 18 leg $10 multi across multiple sports a couple years back to win like 30k. 30k is a lot of money to this guy.

He messaged me with 3 legs to go asking if I could help him hedge it, the third last leg started while we were talking before he could, then it won and he was down to two legs - then there was massive, massive sharp steam on the side he took for the second last game (an aus rugby league spot) to the point where he had like a 10-15% ROI on that leg so I told him to hedge 1k or whatever if he wanted to not be miserable if it bricks but it was correct to let it ride. He held the entire lot and second last leg won easily

Final leg was a few hours later, it starts steaming in huge too (pure coincidence this guy is not sharp)

I let him know he had the right side but to hedge enough he wouldn't be miserable if it lost, he hedged 2k or so which if I recall was all of the money he had to his name, his parlay final leg won and ended up winning 28k or so from memory

He was broke again a few weeks later because that's how he rolls, but it was a pretty amazing story I can actually verify since I saw the screenshot of the wager/was helping him hedge the final leg

Great story. They happen. I've hit couple decent ones before but I have decided given stupid lockdown rules in place these, I'll throw down more since I have nothing to lose and only gain. They're fun. Usually I get a few deep before busting though. Oh well, onwards to the next! Cheers

When I was really young just starting out I became a partner in a pretty big PPH operation as a bookie. We took on these Albanian guys that owned a restaurant who did nothing but max bet huge MLB parlays with big dogs. They were getting bad lines too but they crushed us for almost an entire season. We capped their max parlay winnings and they kept betting them, even with wins over the cap. And they just kept winning. My partner wanted to get rid of them early but I knew they’d give it back eventually. Well, they didn’t. They hit us for five figures weekly. Now keep in mind we were like 20 or 21 at the time telling everyone we were agents for some scary shadowy mob guy when it was really just me and my degen friend with a week to week bankroll. Eventually we gave them away to another PPH guy and they won 30k from him the very first week. If they hit that with us at that time we would have really been in some trouble.

No Summer Olympics. Sad! Very Sad! I guess I will take a nice long European vacation instead, assuming they let me in.

I'm in a state where sports betting just became legal and all the sites have sign up bonuses. If they have first bet "risk free" is it correct to do a parlay bet with a ton of risk? Or is EV same as just betting Packers -3.5 or whatever other straight bet?

Any other thoughts on bonus whoring sports books with no intention to be a regular sports bettor?
01-24-2021 , 06:02 AM
If it pays winning only not stake then yes you want a big underdog because betting a +100 spot at +100 is a 50% bonus conversion rate but betting a +800 spot that wins 1 in 10 times for example is an 80% conversion rate (eg in the two scenarios you get

+100
+100
+100
+100
+100
+0
+0
+0
+0
+0

vs

+800
+0
+0
+0
+0
+0
+0
+0
+0
+0

If it pays the full amount just make whatever the best EV bet you can is if it's winnings only you want substantial underdog spots to convert it at a higher rate

bonus whoring is a losing proposition. This isn't the good old days!

I'm looking at the terms and conditions of the FD $1k signup bonus and it's a little confusing. Am I understanding this correctly that this is basically a "sticky" bonus? As in, if you lose the first bet, they refund the bet amount as a bonus, and then that amount you can bet with but can't withdraw? And that you have to bet the full amount of the bonus in 14 days or it expires?

5. Claiming Promotion Offer

which online USA sportsbooks offer the most variety of live betting other than Bovada. Or does Bovada stand alone in this regard? (Youwager comes in second as far as i know)

How do you define variety? Variety of games offered or variety of betting options within the game? Heritage and Wagerweb use the same live betting platform as Youwager. In fact, if you're logged into both Youwager and Heritage and have the live platforms for both open in different tabs of the same browser, the software can get confused and place bets on the other's account. Bookmaker seems to have the best combo of higher limits and a good number of games. Betonline's platform is meh, but they still have decent options.

specifically, who has the most live tennis matches available to bet on?

Anyone ever get a call from bodog? I set up an account there many many months ago. Never used it. Think I just did it to check some lines and needed an account to do so.

Got a call from a random number today. Googled it and seems to be a bodog number. No idea why they were calling. I told them they got the wrong number.

Pretty much everyone has live ATP and WTA. Are you looking for Challenger and ITF live too?

Not from Bovada, but had a similar experience with Youwager years ago. Opened an account, didn't fund it, and months later at the start of NFL season they blew up my phone to tell me about a bunch of deposit bonus and freeplay offers.

All I know is Bovada and Youwager have most live tennis games. Are there any American sites I'm missing? (Mybookie may have alot too). ROW have tons.

I'm asking because tennis is the only profitable sport for me.

Bookmaker, Heritage, Wagerweb, Betonline/Sportsbetting. Probably Betanysports and Nitrogen as well.

I mean basically every site is going to have live tennis at this point. Every PPH I've seen does as well.

At any given moment, Bovada will have 25 live games, for example, and Sportsbetting will have 5. Bet365 will have a boatload as well.
