Re: Low-Content Forum Chatter Thread (Current)

I used to see these people all the time, not so much anymore. Calling them professional bettors is kind of a stretch, but it is advantage gambling. They also seem to be the people who would pick up all the random discarded tickets and pocket them for later.

The 1% of the 9.5 million doesn't really seem like a lot. Assume they're only doing parlay cards during NFL and in the regular season.

95k a season / 17 weeks = $5588.24/week

Even if they had something ridiculous like a 50% ROI. That's only $2794.12 profit per week split among multiple people since he was working with a "syndicate". And that's assuming the not likely super high ROI.

I'm guessing some of these numbers in the article are made up.

I wrote a program for a parlay card team about 12 years ago. The 10-teamers had theoretical returns of 60-100%, and the 3-teamers were somewhere from 10-20%. 3 guys could get 75k a week in in a variety of cards. The trickier part was making sure you wouldn't win too much on a single card at a casino due to aggregate, and ensuring you had a way to hedge out if you ended up with a lop-sided position.

The worst beat I remember was having roughly a million dollar swing on Jacksonville over 36 or something on the Monday night game. We managed to hedge about 20k, and the market crashed. Of course we lost (and lost for the weekend also).

Thanks. Just because the market is at 23 or is there another reason?

How did you manage to "play me like a fiddle" for free information and can't figure out if the 48% or the 52% leg is better to slap into a CP?

FFS you're asking a question J7 can answer.

Wow that club brings back some old memories. First club I was at that had BYOB, 18, and shower stall combo. When we walked in there was a lesbian show in the lobby on a marble stand with pillows.

The internet bubble was fun.

Did your program print the stubs? That made it a lot easier than filling out all those round robins by hand

yes stations casinos. pay off is different on ties win except on 6/6 for some reason. Boyd used to have them too, probably still do based on the article.

Not sure if they still ha e it but they also had a promotion $5 pick 20 team parlay and win a million dollars. House edge even with stale cards is like 70%

Yes, lower payouts though compared to half point cards.

When I was doing it Coast casinos had the best payoffs for half point cards, but they got wise and would revert NFL 3s and 7s instead of offering half points. This alone cut out about 60% of the edge. Most outfits emulated that because of the massive edges.

The best half point cards would pay 800-1 for 10 of 10, and 20-1 for 9 of 10. I think Mirage was the last outfit to offer that, several years ago. They also had the largest aggregate cap, $250k.

Re: Low-Content Forum Chatter Thread (Current)

Question about betpoints at Bookmaker.

Should I cash my points every 30,000 for $195 or wait till I get diamond to cash at 90,000 for $715?

Obviously $715 for 90,000 is a better rate, but I’ve read stories about them being taken away. Will they let me cash the ones I have out first?

FWIW, It’ll probably take me 1-2 months to reach diamond.

I don't think they have canceled points (outside of blatant fraud) in a decade.

I actually got my points cancelled there but I didn't commit any fraud. But they honored all the points that I did cash out to that point. They didn't close my account or anything either.

They will disable the program if you are a smart player, but they won't void your earned points normally.
