I rarely post in this sub-forum because, being rather new to the sports betting realm, I don't have much insight to shed over and above the scattered snippets of advice from seasoned veterans.

Having devoted some time to scanning the range of threads in this sub-forum, I can genuinely say that it does contain a decent amount of valuable discussion and advice. Some of the well threads, for instance, fit this description. An important caveat is this:

A factual/unbiased outlook is essential to separating the aforementioned valuable advice from the abundance of ****.

Some of the very successful bettors here, for reasons unknown to me but which can only conceivably be positive in nature, choose to impart some of their wisdom to newcomers. Please don't chase them away!

the exact point of disconnect is that people think mikhel is attacking them when all hes doing is trying to save them/make them more money for whatever reason I don't know. I'm also one of the 'chat room millionaires' and I rarely give out advice or picks because unless people understand the #process and numbers behind the bets it doesnt matter if they are the ****ing fighter they cant properly handicap and win longterm.

Look, I don't even have a that big problem with *******s, but he's an ******* clearly. I don't have a judgment on his overall helpfulness, I don't want to run anyone off or have anyone banned. This started in the mma thread where many casuals have a good time by adding their enjoyment of watching a sport they follow. There has never been a single post that touches on the high level that professional sports bettors would, because there is not a single person there who is doing it for a living afik. It's a hobby.

I understood the points these guys were making, even as their motives were unclear--nobody asked. This isn't a case of anyone coming into their discussion saying they are wrong. They came in and applied their standards to hobbiests who are doing something different than they are. If they REALLY wanted to help these guys with some of their knowledge they could have done that easily and pleasantly. That's not what they did.

It is not that hard to understand...the point being made is using incomplete information and biased analysis shared in that thread is suboptimal for making $. Clear enough. Demonstrating how the information used such as arrival at altitude is imperfect. Fair. Modeling, which I don't even pretend to understand is the only way to actually be successful at sports betting long term and these guys do just that. I learned something.

Now here is what was not learned. When Jimm says "you didn't even watch the fight" and thresh says "why would I" you have the crux of the issue. Jimm and the mma fans are sports fans, not sharps. They are motivated by something different. It's not stupid. It's different. If there are some tips to share that would add to their experience, by all means.

I'm sure being a millionaire is fun. Enjoy it. Being a mma fan and making bets based on knowledge of the sport and even imperfect information is also fun.

Trolling and being an ******* is fun too, as is arguing with them.

I don't know or care. The only dog I have in this fight is the low content thread appeared in my subs because of the pruning and someone asked about Jimm doing something shady, and I didn't feel he deserved the way he was being characterized. Thremp didn't like the way I reframed it and we argued for a while.

Having now gone back and read a few previous pages, why is anyone claiming this is not a thremp sop thing? He has been banned for trolling, he has been accused of doing the exact same thing to other people as he is being accused of here, but everyone is pretending he is merely a helpful, misunderstood cat? Is it some kind of test? Transaction? Pay for the info he sprinkles between insults and tedious platitudes by putting up with them? I mean, do whatever you want, but pretending the dynamic is different than it is, even if the pay off is very lucrative, is odd.

All the regulars in the MMA betting thread talk betting. in fact there is more sports betting being talked there (correct or incorrect) than on this very same thread.

Nobody asked anybody for tips, people were respectfully going about their business and then the trolling started.

Fwiw Thremp's point did raise a few questions and I can only speak for myself his point is valid and I do see value. The problem is how he went about sharing his rice bowl, via his usual elitist attitude and accusations. The regulars made it perfectly clear he was welcome to discuss MMA betting but to lose the attitude. He was incapable and he got the boot.

Not everybody is willing to take the abuse for rice bowls, specially in a market with $500 limits before the lines go to ****

I know theres quite a few of lurkers on here and I used to get PM's pretty often from people offering me accounts. I was pretty unresponsive for the most part due to having a really nice stream of accounts in the past but things have changed and Im on the hunt for some new accounts and hopefully long term partnerships. So if anyone wants to split accounts that have NBA or NHL props, shoot me a PM and we'll see if we can work something out.

Maybe you should divulge your inability to beat $50 NHL props or how you can't even do basic math.

My partners and I have a long and easily proven record of beating props for a decent clip and made 6 figures last year solely from sports betting after all percentages were taken out (so if you had 50% of all my action youd have made the same). If you search the above two posters history, youll see that they both have a creepy and odd personal vendetta against me, as they do with many posters here. The majority of their posting history consists of trolling and mud slinging which I am not interested in engaging with right now. Mihkel05 is the infamous "thremp", who has been banned (and actually perma banned) from posting on 2p2 so many times its impossible to count. I can provide plenty of proof/references that I win if necessary. Anyone reputable looking to make some extra money with access to prop accounts shoot me a PM.

Whereas the information you're posting is totally true (yet esoteric), the information I'm posting is both true and pertinent. I guess I could bring up the fact you attempted to rob someone over a prop bet. Since Thremp got banned around the same time as the time as you were outted as a potential thief and for ghosting.
