Also hey guys what’s up
Sorry poogs. But thanks for clearing that up. I think everyone can agree, no matter their politics, that the Floyd matter was horrible.
I'm not a fan of looting. And I'm not naive enough to think that all those people protesting are angels or that all black people are angels as a matter of fact.
But I do agree with the peaceful protesters. I really think that this country needs a lot of things to change moving forward.
It's not just for the benefit of the black community that we need change. We need it for all of us.
Maybe I'm off on this, but I think racism hurts the country as a whole. All the money we spend on policing, incarceration and all the money wasted on welfare because people don't have the opportunity to get work.
And the fear we have to sometimes live in because of the crime that systemic racism creates.
The world will never be perfect, but we don't have to make it worse.
Well, let's take a brief look at what happened in South Africa.
After apartheid ended, a lot of the black people that came into authority were corrupt and life didn't significantly improve for the majority of black South Africans. But life did improve.
And white South Africans were not chased out of the country and they still have most of the wealth. The country didn't collapse. No matter the consequences, apartheid had to go. Change needed to be made.
It's a free country, I'm open to all counter arguments. But because I don't want to pretend to be an authority on the subject and I think I've said all I care to say about the matter, I truly am done with the subject here.
